Thread: new Wookie Armor abnormally decaying, intended?
Well,
Im not an armorsmith or anything, but maybe it could be because this new armor covers a much wider area than all NON-Wookie armor does, like instead of a seperate head and chest and biceps, isnt the new wookie armor chest covering all of those at one time, if so, then it would make sense to decay faster, as per the fact it is being hit more often. Just my two cents.

You might want to introduce them to armor-repair kits, but be prepared when they give you a puzzled look.
The game rules are actually opposite to what youre summising here im afraid.
Lower resistances not only protect less, but they decay faster as well - the amount of damage which affects you is reduced from the decay of the armour: an example:
You take 1000 damage on 50% armour
500 damage is blocked by AR1 (as long as its not vulnerable)
250 damage is further blocked by the 50% rating,
250 damage then gets though to affect you, and 250 points is reduced from the piece of armour which absorbed the blow.
Coupled with the wookie armour absorbing several hit locations per piece, along with the low resistance of it, it will end up decaying very fast when youre using it on highly damaging creatures.

Yeah, I was always of the understanding that the amount of damage that gets through actually determines the decay, which is backwards thinking as for as I am concerned. Hence when someone came up with 100% resist armour, it was indestructible via actual field use.
You'd think the more damage a piece of armour absorbs, the more it falls to bits.
