-segment(2): 20 wood, 5 leathery
-bracer: 20 wood, 20 leathery, 20 wooly, 10 copper, 10 polymer, 2 segs, 1 padded seg, 1 synth cloth
-padded seg: made by tailors. 15 hide, 10 wooly hide, 5 fiberplast
5. The special resist is Kinetic. Using resources with a AWEQ ofabout 700, and all points (10) in kinetic, gave me a kinetic resist of 33%. Using all points in effectiveness gave me a base resist of 25%. 6. I did not have the resources to test the advanced segs, however, based on the standard comparison between basic and advanced segs, they'll probably be at least 10% higher.
7. The schematic also includes a "padding segment" that is made by tailors. They can experment on it, primarily for base resists (the tailor I worked with actually made padded segs using 200 qual resources with a 3% base resist, compared to my armor segments that had 2% base resist with 700 qual resources).

No helmet?
Doesn't that make this armor a complete waste of time and effort since it isn't protected against riflemen headshots or 1/3rd of the random attacks? Christ why is it that everything is either a day late or a dollar short here?

I don't see any numbers when you're talking about resists? typos?

If I had to guess he's just put the body of the post up, and will fill in the numbers when he gets solid results. On SWG Warcry though you could see the resists - key resist was kinetic, at 30ish. The guy who made it said he slapped it together quickly and with more time spent on it reckoned could improve the kinetic a fair amount - he says 50's but that's just speculation.
And the helmet looks like it's part of the chestplate. At least graphic wise. I wonder if it actually covers head hits too or is just a texture....
from the Screen of the Chest the mind is too high of a cost not to cover the head also...so lets hope it does both... Though I wish it was a seprate part... that way you could take it off and wear a hood if you wanted too... but Oh well I'll live... ![]()
Yes, I completely forgot to fill in the numbers
They're there now.
Note that these are preliminary numbers. My resources were only about 700 qual for the segs, 200 qual for the padded segs, and about 500 qual for the final combine, and I was only using the basic segment. My guess is that with good resources, and the advanced segments, you could hit around 60% kinetic, but we'll have to see.
There is no helmet; it appears to be part of the chest unit. I'm still not sure exactly how much coverage the suit provides; hopefully we'll know that soon.
hello, you wrote that the segments required wood. are they a named resource? advanced usually requires a named resource for all segments, so does this follow suit? if so could you be so helpfull as to post what, if any named resources are required from start to finish? also is there any slots for layers or enhancements?
the link you posted for www.swg.warcry.com does not load for me, maybe thier page is down due to overloaded bandwidth usage hehe.
