It requires Endorian Dedicious(or however you spell it) wood and Yavin Leathery hide I believe. Those are the named resources it needs.

Yep, those specific resources are needed for the advanced segments. There does not appear to be an advanced padding segment, so no need to worry about specific resources there.

From what I can tell so far, this seems to be the wookie version of ubese. A bit lower than ubese, but still very serviceable kinetic resists.

Looking at the bracers I see the hints of stat shifting. I hope I really don't see that. Maybe the bracers areplanned to have the same vulnerabilities as the rest of the armor and it's something they are working on fixing. This armor has the Special protection feel of Chitin and the Effectiveness protection percentagesof Padded. Not too shabby for the first round of WookArmor. Kinetic and Energy protection added to a few leftover PSGs and you got yourself some protection.

Yup I noticed that too.. Looks like Wookiee are still gonna be somewhat shafted by the stat shift, unless the patch that adds the armor, fixes the stat shift. Jaato can you verify the stat shift? or does the bracers have different resists then the chest/helm and leggings?

Other then that it looks promising.. Will be low encum for Wookiees only 4 pieces.

Jaato can you post the requirements for the "padding segment".. Not sure I'm comfortable with tailors experimenting on resists though.. Don't mind another tailor component, but just makes it harder to play around with the armor, IMO.. Guess tailors need to use that clothing experimentation some how

Do the tailors have the "normal" armor experiment encum, base and special? or just one line experiment for base?

Does the armor/segments/padded segment all have the normal 50/50 formulas?

I've just posted this on the TC boards and thought this board might like a look:

I think I'll add some details here, seeing as it was me (as Dibad) crafting these first suits. I don't have the game in front of me at the moment so this is from memory...

1.a Resist Shifting. During experimentation the bracer vulnerabilities disappeared and turned into base effectiveness resists instead. This may be a bug, it may be intentional, further testing may clarify.

1.b There are reports of resist shifting during use.

2. Coverage. There are four sections. The chest plate covers chest, head and biceps. The two bracer sections include gloves. The leggings may cover feet as well, the graphic suggests otherwise though.

3.a Special Components. The new padding segment is a Tailor item, schematic granted in Field Wear 3. Resources: 15 Leathery Hide, 10 Wooly Hide and 5 fiberplast (I'm pretty sure i remember this right). This needs experimentation and grants some base resist (4% seen last night) at the cost of some HAM (6/8/6 per segment). These seem to be the equivalent of layers for the armour except they are required and only (apparently) grant base resist enhancements.

3.b Components Part2. The armour segments can not be layered themselves but do have room for one optional armour enhancement as with normal armour segments.

4. Segment Resists. Basic segments are roughly 3% base and 6% kinetic, advanced ones approximately double this. Depends on materials and experimentation choices of course.

5. Armour Resists. Basic armour values are around 30% kinetic and 20% base, advanced set has hit 41% kinetic and 27% base so far. NOTE: this is with barely average materials. Results should improve with higher grade resources.

6. Resource Requirements. Have been listed above. Only thing to note is that Advanced segments require Endorian Deciduous Wood (not just any Endor wood) and Yavinian Leathery Hide.

7. Finally, the colours: the colour options are drawn from the standard Ubese armour palette, so no brightly coloured Wookiee armour at the moment.

Hopefully that covers the main points people are interested in. Further news will come once I've had more than two hours to play with this armour.

I would like to know also if it has the stats shifting problem...considering this has been on the Top 5 list for months now...

Just want to let you guys know that so far, the only clothing that can be worn with the armor is a bandolier (which strangely goes under the armor chest/helm piece). Any "shirt" displaces the chest/helm while a skirt displaces the leggings.

Thanks Dibad for that extra detail and the screenshots on Warcry.

I'll do some further testing tonight, focusing especially on the resists. That's a pretty easy bug to duplicate usually.

One note with regard to the color pallette- it appears to currently be somewhat bugged. The colors on the pallette do not match up very well with the actual armor colors.

Wookiee said it has the stat shift problem. Only thing it's good for is the kinetic protection, which is special.

We now have an ubese for Wookiees.

I'm a Wookiee that wouldlike to gather the specific resources for Wookiee armor, to give to one of my guild's Armorsmiths.

Does anyone know, or can make an educated guess, what the most important stats would be for Endorian Deciduous Wood and Yavinian Leathery Hide?

Also, not being an Armorsmith, I'm not sure exactly how to read the schematic. How much of that specific Wood and Hide would be need to make each suit of armor?

Stat bug only occurs in the bracers. Mine that Dibad created started out at 0 vulns and jumped anywhere from 1-2 to have all vulnerable, no base and just kinetic special resists. Happened when crossing server boundries and taking shuttles, same as psgs. Made for a interesting night of leveling

Any word on wookie armor that is craftable by wookie armosmiths only? If there are going to be non can the Devs move the Bowcaster to a general weaponsmith schematic. Only seems fair

I think the WS get enough. The last patches addeda lot of weapons to the mix.
