In your opinions, what is the best armor for your buck and how much will it cost?

Ubese for MOB's. Some day when it Neut. Steel drops again I will sell it for 35k to 40k. I can get 41+% Kinetic Resists and have heard of higher. Additionally I can typeically make it with lower HAM costs them Chitin, It looks better, its just better.

One note I never wear the helm (The HAM cost is too high and you look like a dog). I use a tantel helm with Kinetic resists, every once in a while I will get a tantel helm with every resist, you cant beat that for 3k or so.

Hello All,

I am getting into armorsmith now that I have hit master architect. So I was wondering where the prices are at for all the armor since I have never purchased armor beforeand have never had to sell any before.

It totally depends on your server an the resources that are available. Someone may be able to charge 300k for a set of cmposite on one server and only 100k on another server. Or you can cuthroat all the other dealers on your server and piss everyone off always a plus.

Talk to the consumers on your server and find out the general range of what they have paid in the past and present. Only plan on making money with Ubese, Chitin and Composite most of the other armors are not in demand, wel at least thats what i gather.

I charge based off of the % of protection that my armor offers and the skill level it takes to make that armor. The price list looks like this:

Mabari 25 credits per % of protection

Chitin 50 credits per % of protection

Tantel 75 credits per % of protection

Ubese 100 credits per % of protection

Padded 125 credits per % of protection

Composite 150 credits per % of protection

This will reflect your skill level with both personal armor and technique and offer your customers a way to truly pay for either high or poor quality. You may be able to inflate or deflate prices based off of your server but overall this pricing scheme has worked for me.

With your percentage price list, is that only for the main protection attribute or do you take the sum of the protection attributes and multiply it by your credit per point price?

I do the following.

Bone: 20k (40% energy resist bone) -- It takes some really nice resouces to make

Mabari: 11k - Only sell HAM optimized sets to Melee People

Chitin: 35k

Tantel: 10k (Really only ever sell Helms)

Ubese 40k (Resouce Blocked on Ahazi - Have not seen Neut. Steel in 2 1/2 Months)

Padded 55k

Composite 115k

Your probably going to have major problems selling anything until you get to Tech 3 or 4. I would plan on grinding until then but some people sell thier way all the way up. It's very difficult on established servers.

My resists probably aren't as high as the great Ime's, but here are my typical prices for non-advanced stuff(ultimate prices adjusted slightly for final resist values):

Bone: 15k (~28-30% energy)

Mabari: 10k (Haven't made in ages - nobody asks for it)

Chitin: 25k (~30-32% kinetic)

Tantel: 10k

Ubese: Never made any (too bad I ground all that NeutroniumSteel into crafting tools and survey devices)

Padded 33k(~20-24% on base resists e.g. energy, kinetic, etc.)

Composite: I can only dream of someday having the skillz to make.

It's a long haul, especially if you're like me and have sold everything you've made to date without grinding. Good hide has been scarce lately too due toharvesting nerf, but that's supposed to be fixed now.

My % formula counts all resists not just special resists. So if you have a piece of 35/10 Chitin then it's 35 x 50 + 10 x 4 x 50 for the total.

Composite 120k, If I use layers each pieces is an dditional 1k*(1+number of segments) so chests are 5k extra helms 4k etc...

I don't make anything but composite. I don't have the time nor the desire to hunt down a billion resource types to make many different types of armor when I can sell all the composite I can make as fast as I care to make it.

How can you afford to sell bone at 1k? It takes 1246 resources to make a suit of it so even at 1 cr/unit it's more than 1k
