Thread: Best Armor?

After finally acquiring a full set of Bone Armor I noticed that my Action pool is depleting way too fast, and it takes twice as long to regen my HAM bar. So, my question is what would be the best armor for a Novice Scout/Marksman/Medic. I use a Carbine as my main weapon.

Against humanoids (who fight with blasters etc.), get the best armor you can buy. Ask armorsmiths about that, it's possibly ubese-armor or such.

Against critters I prefer normal clothes. Usually they cannot touch me (snare traps etc.) and so armor is giving more penalties than benefits.

It all depends on what you're gonna be fighting. Most creature mobs will do kinetic damage, so something with high kenetic protection would be good for that.

If you're fighting PvP you may want heat/energy/kinetic/stun protection.

There really isn't a right answer as the protection you need will depend on the mobs you're fighting. Then there's the issue of whether you can actually wear the armour once you have a full set of it...

I've not been playing for a few months and people seem to have some really good armor nowdays. What would the best armor be and for how much? ( and what are the stats for it please)

It would all depend on the resources available on the server- On valcyn there was a couple spawns of really nice hide that's resulted in a bunch of good armor sets. I've got a set of 73%/15% Ubese and 63%/54% composite.

Legendary Krayt Segmented Composite can cover up to 80% on all resists except for stun. This can then be sliced up to 90% composite with only a stun vunerability.

Or....

3x stun layers, for 37-39% stun coverage...and matching nightsister shards on each segment...for something close to 75% base, 80% electrical, 39% Stun, which can then be sliced up to 80%elec/90%base/39%stun.

Either one would cost you from several to 10's of millions to make unless you hunted the drops yourself. Enjoy that.

Realistically, you would need to list your server, playstyle (PvE or PvP), profession, species, what species/MOB's give you the most trouble, as well as your current credits available to spend before we could give you a good idea of what is the 'best armor' for you and whether you could even afford it.

Depends on what you want to do. If you are looking for PvE creature fighting, Kinetic layered Ubese is your best bet - Sunrunner ballparks in at 70% Kinetic, 25%ish everything else pre-slice.

If you're into high-end PvE or PvP then you want good composite. My kinetic comp that I just bought is 74% Kinetic/ between 72%-78% everything else pre-sliced - that was 600K for the set from a friend. Many smiths make it higher (80%-90%) but it's expensive. PvP armour often has a stun % as well, but I'm not too familiar with stats and prices there.

Any other type of armour is purely for looks IMO.

my personal ones are like this, and sliced up to 80/80/10/90

but i think you have to be very stupid to sell a suit like that

All armors of the same type (battle, assault, recon) are essentially the same. The only difference is how they look.

RIS Armor is the best battle armor you can get. The Armor smith in our guild can hit 6000 to all stats atm. He is trying to get it above 6000, we will see if he can do it. It looks awesome and has awesome stats =)
