Master TKA with improved COB, if you want the real answer. That or master defender. Defenses do as much for your damage absorbtion as does armor.

I'm personally going for RIS as soon as I can get together all the necessary components and the cash for the assembly fee... I love the insectoid samurai look it's got,fits especiallywell for swordsman, imho. Will probably still use TKA Innate + CoB for melee fights tho.

It's not the armor, it's the armorsmith and the quality of items used. The rest is simply a question of taste.
Please remember when shopping that elemental damage now sticks, so that protection willbe something to look for too.
I wear Marauder armor for the look. The resists are 6000 all around.

Correct if Im wrong but TKM Innate armor has 6000 protection to all the elemental damage while battle has a much lower protection, right?

TKM has 6000 to everything. It is possible to make battle armor with 6000 to everything as well. TKM's improved center of balance ups the defenses a lot, so TKM with cob on is the best short of master defender with aura on. Otherwise you need to look for battle armor with the highest number possible. Keep in mind the difference between 5700 and 6000 is very small, less than 1% of actual damage absorbed.

The stat cap on Advanced Battle armoru is 6000/6000/6000 (Kinetic/Energy/Special).
With energy layers you can increase energy by 1000, but decrease kintic by the same 5000/7000/6000
Kinetic layers do the opposite 7000/5000/6000
Primus layers increase kinetic and energy by 500 and decrease special by 500 - 6500/6500/5500
I hit thes values, however i have good resoruces. Resources are key to armour now.
So, if you are a swordsman hunting Krayt (or other kineitc damage PVE), then kineitc layered Battle is the go 7000/5000/6000
If you a getting hit by kinetic and eenrgy then primus is the o 6500/6500/5500.

So running around naked as TKM is as good as wearing 6k battle armor? I think I'll go back up TK and stop buying armor.

TKMs are self-sufficient.
We don't need weapons from weaponsmiths.
We don't need armor from armorsmiths.
We don't need doctors for wound healing.
And soon, we won't need entertainers for battle fatigue.
If TKMs were like this pre-CU, I would've done TKM/Ranger and never seen another soul.
