Thread: When do YOU think an Armor Piece should be repaired?

A long time ago, pre-CU, I was told by a few people that the amount should be 1/3 before repairing a piece of armor. Since then, I have read other people referring to 25%.

I also wonder at what point does the effectiveness begin to be affected by the lowering condition. I assume this happens as it does with Weapons.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

/agreed
I dont repair until im at half condition. Even a succesful repair knocks down the total condition to much to be worth repairing earlier.

i repair at about 3-4k left on the part.. get about 4-5 repairs on a suit... 50%?? why would you do that.. with a bad repair you can aucally lower condition.. thats not very smart

I dont...since the stats dont seem to lower after 50% anymore, use it until it breaks and get new stuff of my vendor.

The slicing changes can provide a slice that prevents or reduces the damage armour takes, I think...not 100% on that yet. I suggest you get that done on the pants as they seem to take the largest beating.

I repair at 40-50%.
The reasoning behing repairing armor at this stage of decay is because it being to protect you less and less the more it gets past 40%, just like it used to pre-CU. Just now it does not show you that the resists dropped down, but you can sure notice it when you get shot at with some armor thats 40% or below.

There's also a smuggler slice that can take make your armor start dropping resists at 20% instead of 40%.

I guess you didn't know that resists start dropping once it gets around 40% condition, thats the reason its a good idea to repair it then.

resists dont drop.. post CU !!

know what your talking about before you start posting crap answeres and give peoplefalse information.. im looking at 3 pieces of armor right now all form the same suit

bicept 38k of 45 7760 kin

helm 17k of 45k 7760 kin

legs 5k of 45k 7760 kin

Ohh my what a surprise they all have the same stats !!! armor resist is NOT RELATED TO CONDITION ! Armor repair only makes your stuff last longer.. Please refrain from answering Q's you do not know anything about all it does is confuse people.

We need someone to test this. Im hearing it both ways. Im hearing that armor resists dont drop at all below 50% condition. And im also hearing that the resists do drop when below 50% condition but the stat drop just doesnt disply. Has anyone tested for sure? It makes a big difference on when you would repair.

I repair mine when it has less than 3k condition left. Haven't really notice increase damage with my armor being below 50%. May have to check before repairs to see if I am taking more damage due to low conditions.

It doesn't show them dropping like it did Pre-CU, I've done tests, why don't you follow your own advice.
You obviously didn't read my post about it not showing that the resists drop. My tests showed more damage coming through the armor when at a lower condition, just like it used to be Pre-CU.
