Armour is gonna be screwed old skool in the next patch, to lower resists and stop anyone accept jedi soloing elders etc.
I know that much, but I did hear (talking to my guild mates about remaking my char as a human - god forbid - coz of crappy wookiee armour on chimaera) that wookiee armour isnt going to be touched. Is this true? Otherwise i'm gonna be one funny named human lol.

Everything is going to be changed next patch - not just armor..... We will se what the outcome is.

The combat upgrade will probably come out late january/early february next year I think.

As a new armorsmith i am making 80/80/80 68 base suits. Should i stop making these until after the patch? I havent made enough to stock my vendors yet.
I would hate to spend all the resources and then have them not be any good.
Or will stats say the same after the patch?

Alright, seems i know a bit more about this thansome of you.
I dunno where u can read up on it, but heres what i've been told by guildmates, and its what was being said on the forums 2 months ago when i quit the game - the CB should have been out then - (quitting really worked didnt it?)
Wookiee armour should not be recieving a nerf - supposedly (the subject of this thread)
All other armour resists will drop drastically - 50% resist will be replacing the 90% max - probably
Buffs will take a huge nerf, so armour effectivness and special spamming will be smacked bad
BIG SPECULATION was that compo would be losing its resists against all to always have 1 or 2 vulnerabilities, to allow other armour types to be competitive to it.
I dont know if existing armour suits will be destroyed, nerfed or left alone, we'll have to see.
Moral of this story:
Grind your profs now.

You had me worried for a minute, thinking that they're going to nerf armor next week. However,I can find no information whatsoever to corroborate that, so I assumeyou're talking about the combat revamp which won't be live for at least another several months. Not next week by a long shot. The next patch will likely just be small issues, mostly relating to JTL.

No need to stop making armor. The existing armor will be converted, I am sure. They have said publicly that if you have top-end armor now, it will still be at the top of the heap after the combat balance. And I too expect it not until Feburary or March next year.

I doubt wookie armors will stay untouched. And saying nerf for the Combat Upgrade is wrong. The CU will change combat as we know it.
It's fairly sure that resists will be lowered and buffs lowered along with a long list of other things. Hopefully this can make the combat challanging cause it's very easy most of the times now as it is.
I also belive that current armor stats will just change, it won't render current armor items useless.

well if the dont change wooky armor.... both Hunting and Composite I make on 72% base lvl with the latest resourses so I doubt there not changing that as well

Important! Dont believe anything you hear about the upcoming Combat Upgrade.
It is a work in progress and NOTHING will be final until it is actually released.
That means what is true today, might not be so tomorrow.
