All I've read on the CU is doom and gloom. I'm not that heavy of a player, so don't have time to do the TC thing.
Can anyone tell me anything good about AS in TC? I'm having a problem logging into my normal account since all this bad news hit us last week.
Please give me motivation. It's the first time since i've owned the game that I haven't wanted to log on.

Well we can now craft faction armor and other types of armor. The armor certification can lead to additional business for the non masters...am I stretching here??? In my opinion, the things that were important are either the same or worse.

I like the combat system, have played it for maybe 20 hours as marksman. Considering how worthless the old combat system is the CU is what keeps me going. Combat on TC feels more interactive and better paced. It's still beta and many things like getting owned by Nunas will or have already changed. There are massive amounts of whining around based on things that were true the first few days of beta but isn't valid anymore so be careful reading. Try it again and post your comments someday when you feel like it.
As for crafting my feelings are mixed to say the least. I was under the impression that SOE would balance combat not rebuild the crafting professions. Some of the crafting changes are horrible right now but SOE has withdrawn some ofthem from TC so they seem to listen. (like the case with using UT instead of SR)

Well, we are getting some new armor, and new AS loot and ways to integrate it to the armor. Loot will be stackable and the size of the stacks will increase.
Hmm, that is about it I think.

Ya, but how are we supposed to get that loot? We can't hunt for it and people are going to be charging out the butt for it because combat is going to be so much harder and group based.
No matter, just have to sit back and watch the train wreck.

All I know is that they have one.... let me repeat that ONE chance to get this right and if not I'm gone! There's more than enough games out there that can hold my interest just as well if not maybe even better..... and no I'm not talking EQ2 or WoW necesarily, but those are options that I'm holding open..... well not EQ2 since thats still SOE but everything else is certainly on the table........

Grouping ? What grouping ? I was on TC most of the weekend and was solo the whole time and I'm almost master marksman.I was around mos eisley, Bestine, mos espa and cnet and I don't think I saw any groups only soloers. But I did see alot of people using macros, shooting everything and not giving people a chance.

THis is very true. Good or badwill determine if it will make or break our game! CU will be the one change that will be remembered.
When is the date they are trying for here, to get this to Live? Does not sound really cleaned up enough for only a few weeks away.
What is the status on the resource extravagence everyone was talking about last week(and weekend). Is that cleaned up at all yet? Have they moved back away from the dummy down one bar experimentation?
To Elood's question is there any more GOOD news? I hit this thread hopping for info as the other threads are getting blasted by negative slams and it would be nice to see more updates on what has slowly begun to change. It is hard to sift through everything....even if it is at work, lol.![]()

Good points....
Just off the top of my head... but their are still a lot of things that need to be worked out. Especially for armoursmiths.
- A variety of viable armours, no longer just composite with the odd ubese suit
- Craftable faction armours
- Other new craftable armours
- No more uber 90% armour making people unkillable
- Less focus on stun damage and mind bar
- Professions seem to be fairly well balanced and combat might be cool again
- Less focus (hopefully) on DoTs in combat
Just off the top of my head... but their are still a lot of things that need to be worked out. Especially for armoursmiths.
