Hi all,

Sorry for this noob question but I have yet to make any faction armour but am put off by the seeminglyhigh faction point cost for the schematics.What are the fp costs per suit and how do you all go about getting your fp since you need so many? Is it cost effective to buy it off smugglers?

it costs around 15000 fp to buy all 3 sets or is it for one set, eiter way, it still pays to buy the stuff of the smugglers as the average faction suit sells for 1-1.5mill so divide the 1500 by 10 suits, is 1500 and at avg 100cpp thats 150000 creds for the schem and 300k for the resources (my price for unlayered capped reg armor) rest is your working time and profits.

so yea, it would pay to buy fp from the smuggler... Ask around for the cheapest planet to buy faction equiptment on, its the planet with greatest yourfaction-to-opositefaction ratio.

Erm, I just visited the imp recruiter and the fp costs for the schems nearly made me poop my pants...

Biceps, bracers, helmet, leggings and belt all cost 8100 each

Boots and gloves cost 2025 each

Chest piece costs 16200

So if I'm right that makes it (8100 x 7) + 4050 + 16200 = 76950fp

There's a 30% discount so after the discount it would cost 53865fp.

At 1250fp per 100k that would mean a credit cost of 53865 / 1250 * 100 = 4.3m credits

If you only get 5 uses per schematic then I'd have to charge 900k per suit to just about break even.

Surely this isn't right? Please help!

find a new planet to buy them from. the status of the GCW DOES make an impact on the prices.

example: naboo on bria the other day was 202 imp to 30something rebel. the scout recon chest cost me 1700ish FP for the schematic.

advice, do some homework on the planets.

This is why i dont make faction armror at all.. It's easier and more profitable to just foruc on RIS and the standard armor types.

exactly... I have my own master smuggler and buy the schematics with credits I make selling the armor...

Is it the 'Imperial Recruiter' NPC's that I should be buying the schems from? 4 planets down, all the same prices so far...

for me factional armor is very profitable... just slighly a PIA to make..

sounds like either you are

A like cali said.. non human

or B,, rebs are kicking butt on that planet.

i went to go buy schems the other day and the price went up 100% im just goingt o wait ti some rebs win back a planet and kick some imp butt before i get more.. but now is the perfect time to restock imperial : )

has to be a planetary issue. I get a full set of schems for 15k fp. I am a Bothan master smuggler.

I do buy on a planet that is highly favorable to the empire though

Thanks for all the replies. Dworkin is an Ithorian and on Infinity the Empire is losing badly on every planet as far as I can tell so far so I think my plans to make imp faction armour have been well and truly er, armour holed.

Does being a non human affect rebel fp requirements on faction armour schematics?
