Thread: Why won't DEV's change the way UBESE convert

Right now all different types of weapons convert differently why can't we have Armor do the same thing. By ONLY using the base stat to convert armor they are killing Armor that was never made to utilize base stats, namely UBESE. Time and time again I have heard that "the best now will convert to the best after the CU" That is NOT the case with Ubese. You could have a 78% kinetic wil 18% base UBESE suit which is a very good suit now but after the CU it will turn into a terrible suit. I have posted this SEVERAL times and never even gotten a reply and even our own Corr said "oh well". What I would like is an explaination from a DEV plz on why Ubese (and other types of armor) can't be treated differently than Composite. Thanks.

Yeah... I even made some 80% ubese thinking that is the best, which it is! So much for believing what is told to us.

What I don't understand is that our own Corr doesn't care about this issue. He should at least be pressing the issue. I mean look at all the weapons they all dont just convert the same they are different. Why can't armor be like that.

Why doesn't the Correspondent care? Do you recall where you saw that? I'm not saying it would surprise me, I just like to come in every so often to make sure I'm still screwed.

Well, directing his attention here wouldn't hurt, for sure.

When I PM the Corr this is the reply I got:

Conversion only goes by base stats. so, to be honest, you're screwed. There's nothing I can do about it, to be honest. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it's the best answer I can give.

Now I really Don't want my Corr to tell me I'm screwed before he even presents the idea to the DEV. Hmm I wonder if it would be different if HE has 300 Ubese suits sitting one a vendor. Maybe then our Corr would go to bat for the idea.

Well, I've got over 250 suits, myself. I feel your pain. I've got to say, his attitude sounds more defeatest/passive rather than uncaring. I can understand feeling powerless to help but both still generate the same results.

Meh, I should have just been a comp smith like everyone else. This is what I get for being a minority in a heavily screwed group. On the bright side, a loss of 40-50M on the sale of those suits is just a drop in the bucket!

The SAD thing is he didn't EVEN ask the DEV's and hes brand new. If he's defeatest then he needs to quit and give the job to someone who has the drive to get the job done and make changes for the better

It really upset me to see 50 of my 77% ubese suits convert to not even half the energy protection of my composite suits. Not to mention the other stats weren't even worthwhile.
