Friends:
Before you read this, do me a favor, as a friend, a fellow Armorsmith and a fellow player.
Stop. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and relax.
I haven't been on the forums all day due to being out and about in class and taking tests, but the sight of the AS Forum when I checked in a few minutes ago disturbed me. I don't know what happened beyond Okram being removed as our correspondant. I considered him a good guy, and talked to him several times on TC. But what happened, happened. I'm not writing this to address him. It's about all of you.
I think highly of many of you. Skinny, Zion, all of you who post even more than I do on here. But take a step back and just look at our forum page. It's an utter wreck. We're angry and upset, I know. We want to be heard and our concerns addressed. I know. I screamed as loud as everyone else about our current issues with the CU. But this isn't the appropriate way to get that done guys.
*EDITED*Go look on our first page of the forum. We have support from other professions, but does that justify our behavior? We're acting out like a child does so we can get our attention. Well, we have it now. And it's the wrong kind. I read a joke about giving us something random (I think it was a whip) to craft to shut us up. If we keep behavior like this up, people will remember us not as a community that endured the changes of the CU and worked through it, but as the community that went berserk and fell apart. *END EDIT*
I'm not trying to be inspirational. I'm not trying to rally the troops. I just want people to calm down and start offering solutions, not finger pointing. Be professional. We are the Armorsmith profession. If we continue to self-destruct, the profession will die. Period.
If you're going to post in this thread, I ask this: Remain calm, don't flame, and most of all, support your community. This is OUR community. We make it what it is.

To be honest, that post makes me want to nominate you for the Corrospondant position. It's everything I have been trying to get across, without the outright anger I have for the people carrying on in this fashion that has made us the laughingstocks of the forums.

It varies from forum to forum. I know we have a lot of support from other crafters. I know many professions support us. But there are people laughing, very visible people, and it bothered me a lot. Rather than flame them, I thought it'd be better to try and calm some of you guys down the best I could.
Maybe I'm getting soft and old at the ripe age of 21.

Please. Enough already.
We ARE the butt of the jokes right now, because the community is throwing a 3-year old temper tantrum. The only people who seem to be rallying behind the AS's are those who want the old system, so they can continue to abuse it.

Overall your post contained some good words of advice, but the part quoted above concerns me.
It's just NOT true. In all of the places I've looked, the posts were more like "I can't believe SOE did this" and "The CU is getting pushed down our throat, just look what they do to those that complain"
There may be some losers that are mocking this situation, but I'd bet lunch that for every post you could provide poking fun, I could find 10 others in support of the AS side.

hmm on SHADOWFIRE they have only suported the actions that were taken buy the post i read there. Not that my server says what the rest is acting like.
And at the same time looking at all this i remeaber that Churchill was fired by the british goverment because he voiced how wrong things where in his time. Now he is thought as one of the great modern leaders /shurg
