*** Droids Rebuilt ***
Profession: Droid Engineer
* Added an Interplanetary Survey Droid - This droid is capable of using survey tools and traveling to other planets to report on the resources present on that planet.
* Added Merchant Barker Module to the DE skill tree: This module allows for the owner to input a short message that is continuously transmitted to nearby players. It also allows him or her to place a waypoint in the droid that is given to any player that requests it via the radial menu on the droid.
* Added Structure Maintenance Module to the DE skill tree: This module will allow a player to pay maintenance on structures they own from a remote location.
* Added Creature Harvester Module to the DE skill tree: This module will allow any character to program and control an equipped droid to advance on the look-at target of the player and harvest the resources on the creature. The player can preset the droid to harvest one of the three types: meat, hide or bone. Or the player can just let the droid pick a random resource type.

Gameplay
* Fixed a bug commonly referred to as the "armor hole"

Art
* Made fixes to Ubese jacket mesh

Heh, the barker droids might not be so bad. After an hour they run out of power....

I sincerly hope the havestor maintence is more than just the ability to pay money to the harvestors. I would be perfectly happy with something as simple as a line in the data pad displaying what if anything each harvestor is harvesting, what the hopper is at, and how much money and power remain in them. Thats my wish, will wait and see.

I am of mixed feelings on the survey and creature harvest modules because of the massive nerfs they could be to 2 basic professions and 1 elite profession. With the survey module, what good is the survey line of artisan? With the creature harvest module what use is the scout or ranger professions? It has been said, in contradiction to the publish notes, novice scout is needed to use the creature harvesting which means only ranger is completely nerfed since there would still be the need to take novice scout, though the hunting line would be pointless.

Yes, both of these modules would make it more likely there would be more supply to meet demand and thus prices would go down, but is that really worth completely trashing 3 professions?

I am hoping that the creature harvesting module harvests a quantity based on the skills of the owner, either that or they just harvest at a rate equal to novice scout.

Do we know what they are actually doing to fix the "armor hole" bug ???

It may be my imagination or poor memory but didnt they fix the stat shifting bug on RIS by adding vulnerabilities? Lets hope they havent been as "heavy-handed" with this fix

I haven't yet had a chance to hop on TC to test it, but I'm going to try tonight. Apparently the whole 'weapon equiped=armor hole, no weapon equiped=no armor hole' thing was the key to fixing it.

Well I am not so sure the nerf is as strong as you may think...

For one thing, when i read that info about the survey droid, it sounded to me as though it would simply let you know what Which resources were available, I don't think it would be able to run around and find you the highest concentration of the resources on the planet (it damn well better not be able to!!!)

And as for the creature harvesting droid... if in fact you do Not need novice scout to use this module then, there will be a Lot more people with 15 or more skill points to spend... I am not that well versed with the Area Track feature, but personally I still think that this would be useful enough to have no real impact on the Ranger profession, also I doubt that these droids would be harvesting at the same rate as a Master Ranger would be...

So all in all I personally do not feel that there is going to be any huge nerfs to the proffessions...

my 2 cents:

i would think that a droid can't get close to a proper scout. let alone a ranger. its abilty should be low. but it wll still be handy. i dont know many people who have scout any more.

coronet is bad enough. the droids are gonna make it worse. Again the upper hand is only an hour of power for them

wondefull to see that armour hole bug has got dev attention.

I would think that Interplanetary Survey Droid would be wonderfull. also you should be able to only get as good as your skill is. no skill low range or it take a long time. me being a master artisan i would be quick and handy. i hope

Structure Maintenance Module is a god send. no more traveling to lok HUZZA

Made fixes to Ubese jacket mesh is cool because ubease now looks better.
