Profession: Droid Engineer
* Added an Interplanetary Survey Droid - This droid is capable of using survey tools and traveling to other planets to report on the resources present on that planet.
* Added Merchant Barker Module to the DE skill tree: This module allows for the owner to input a short message that is continuously transmitted to nearby players. It also allows him or her to place a waypoint in the droid that is given to any player that requests it via the radial menu on the droid.
* Added Structure Maintenance Module to the DE skill tree: This module will allow a player to pay maintenance on structures they own from a remote location.
* Added Creature Harvester Module to the DE skill tree: This module will allow any character to program and control an equipped droid to advance on the look-at target of the player and harvest the resources on the creature. The player can preset the droid to harvest one of the three types: meat, hide or bone. Or the player can just let the droid pick a random resource type.

Gameplay
* Fixed a bug commonly referred to as the "armor hole"

Art
* Made fixes to Ubese jacket mesh

Supposedly it was going to be fixed in this patch as well, but I noticed there were no patch notes regarding it as well. When I test the armor hole fix tonight I'll also keep an eye on my PSG's. I know what the resists are supposed to be, although I haven't been permitted to release that information, so I can check and see whether it's been fixed pretty easily.

The DE's are saying the harvest droid is only usable by novice scouts and higher. Nobody seems to know how exactly they work tho, or even if they're actually usefull in practice.

And as for the survey droid, from what I've read they only show whats there, they don't give resource stats. Also I read somewhere that the survey droids are consumed in use, ie: you send it off to survey and have to buy a new one. Kinda like the BH tracker droids.

i was playing with PSG's in live the other day and something interesting game to notice, high ap energy weapons automatically penetrate past the psg. This isn't right is it ? tested with a laser carbine/t21 not one stop did the psg halt, though the armour underneath stopped damage. Maybe u could look at this on TC

I am hoping that the creature harvesting module harvests a quantity based on the skills of the owner, either that or they just harvest at a rate equal to novice scout.

My understanding, is that only scouts and rangers can use this module.. could be wrong tho.

I read the patch notes on Stratics and they said that the harvester droid can be used by anyone. The thing that is used by novice scouts is the scout trap module. It launches the traps when you say the word. I agree that the harvester will not replace rangers and scouts. I wil keep scout because I'm sure that the harvester will harvest with less power than novice scout.

If that's what Stratics is reporting, then stratics is wrong. You have to have at least novice scout to use the harvesting module. The patch notes were originally incorrect, but I believe they've been fixed now.

Seems to me the Maintenance modules sound to me like only "Structures" ..ie "houses & guild halls"I dont read where they will add power or credits to Harvesters at all.

Just my take on this.

Kind of sounds like this to me also. I hope its more than that though. Harvesters give "Structure Crafting" xp though so maybe its just lumping things all into one. If you can't add power, then its usefulness will be a lot less.
