Just read this in the testing forums from a Master AS/WS (Trader- Munitions) on TC Corbantis.
My 5000kin/7000en arm piece is STILL 5000/7000... seems like no change on armor.
also.... the Krayt Scales and Rancor Hide still have health bonuses, and there are enhancement slots on the armor crafting screens.
Carason - Master Armorsmith (RIS Certified) / 12-point Master Weaponsmith
Jai' - Flashlight Wielder
Kyan' - Master BH/Master Rifleman
Carason's House of Style: Armor and Weaponry
Corbantis
This looks promising .. although that no-decay thing is bothering me greatly.

Better off than weaponsmiths. WS got owned by SOE. Experimentation for WS is even more meaningless now than it is for AS after the CU. ![]()

How is this good news for Armorsmiths, nothing from the NGE is going to be good for a crafter. You make something that will never decay, and they wont need to buy from you ever again ! Right now everyone is dumping there stuff on my server for credits, and once people have armor they wont come back, other than newbies without credits or items looking for armor to start out.

Hi all,
I tested a bunch of things out.... doesn't seem like anything really changed in the crafting process... although I'm not 100% sure of the accuracy of the final stats on some armor I made... I lost my hard drive a couple weeks ago, and with it went all my notes on my resources, and which ones to use.
Anyway, we'll see what happens as more testing gets done.
On the downside.... looks like Weaponsmith got the shaft that we got at the CU. ![]()

Just checking, you say you crafted armor there? Did it have condition, or not?

It couldn't get any worse.
No decay.
Health bonuses? With 12k Health characters, +350 health is meaningless.

About armor ratings, we have no idea how those will work in NGE.

I suspect as there is no Focus Thread for Armour conversion and weapons no-longer seem to have specific damage types that Armour simply hasn't been converted yet, the same with skill mods for example. It does make sense to do only some conversions at a time rather than everything all together.

one thing I noticed....you can experiment on armor condition in the final build....however I never saw if my armor decayed at all.....but I did get myself killed in my crafting suit and there was no decay from 2x 3k hits and a clone.

how did health enhancers convert? did schematics and factory crates convert like uncrated armor?

wait so armorsmiths get to keep thier enhancers, and weaponsmiths lose all of theirs. WEll, maybe I will stick with munitions post-NGE... if crafting armor will be interesting, cause I already know crafting weapons is gone.

Lets not forget that resource stats don't matter anymore. You can use anything now and it will come out the same. You checked out a capped piece of assult armor it looks like. Well how did the energy assult convert or any other piece? Is everything capped now?
