I think I'm going to go this profession for sure but I have a question about armor. What kind do you guys wear if any? I'm a Twi'leks and our tails tend to stick our of helment armor so I don't want to look too dumb.

That expensive huh?
To think I was worried about looking dumb never though about the prices.

I have while to get before I get to Novice BH so right now I"ll just keep saving.

I dont even wear armor.

Sykario is one of the lucky ones to have Composite even on his server.

I believe its something like 40-80k per piece depending on the quality

My composite suit cost a full 110,000 and I'm loving it. Though I had to migrate some stats to wear the helm, which then got me into the stat bug after taking off the armor.... But other than the crippling stat bug I was all good and looked like a cybernetic killing machine.

Though for a while, because Of the stat bug I was the naked bounty hunter wearing nothing more than a trenchcoat and black shirt.

Hmm...I've been doing stat migration in combination with spice in ordre to wear my composite (zabrak). It's kind of a pain in the but, but I'm almost there. Definately looks cool too (at least the pieces I can wear). I do have a quick question though. Is there anyone trying to wear it with just straight stat migration? I'd assume that this would be very costly to your main ham bars...

Just get the armor sliced, you will not need to do any migration or eat any food.....

but you have to hope that encumb is reduced and not just the effectiveness increased.

I wear composite some times. 29% on all stats all pieces but one and I think that piece has 28%. The armor is very very encumbering. I too had to do a stat migration just so I can get the armor on and off with any need for food or spice. With the stat bug though I do have to munch on something from time to time. I paid a grip 250K but only one person right now on my server has the resources to make it with these stats. I boughttwobracers from another vendor a few weeks ago in hoping I'll return and find the rest of the suit but that was not the case. Also those two bracers where 22%. My current are 29%. Anyhow the armor is a pain in the ass when youfinish a BH mission andneed to heal or while in battle and hoping foryou HAM to increase so you can get that special offbefore you get incapped. Thearmor deflect absorbs whatever a great deal of damage. Without armor 2-3 hits and I'm dead from the Mark. With the armor on I can take his 2-3 hit and return fireto knockdown his ass and not worry about fleeing the scene. It has it's advantages and disadvantages. I have no regrets in spending the amount that I did for them b/c I made it all already LOL.

If/when master armorsmiths are able to make armor with armor rating greater than 1 I'll purchase another suit ASAP

Hmm...I guess that's what I get for going to the local kid in the neighborhood to slice my armor. Welp, I guess I'll go back to grinding out some cash and buy another set and go to a Master Slicer.

I war my ST-Armor when I am overt and Composite when Covert.

I like the ST-Armor it cost less HAM to wear that the Composite and all stats are at 30% protection. Except acid, cold and stun (I think).

Does anyone know if ST-armor can be sliced???

well for humans yes it is much easier to get

for Zabrak the Breastplate costs 10k faction ... which I am currently working toward and only have 3k faction to go
