I have tremendous resources and loot (janta hide, krayt scales, nightsister shards and layers) should I use this stuff now or will it be a waste when the CURB comes? Will I be able to make use of these items after the CURB and will items made before the CURB that are high quality now still be high quality later?
Anyone know?
Hear any rumors, etc?

nobody knows. But if something is crappy now (like krayt scales) might be worth saving for later, instead of deleting.

krayt scale armor is gonna kick ass after the CU... think about it. at least 4% on all but electricity right now... what will that do to armor when its on a point system vs % system??? will still be tedius to make, but the new faction armor is going to be tedius anyways so you know you'll use enhancers. I cant wait. *sitting on his pile of 500 free krayt scales*

Where did you find out that the faction armor would be tedius to make? Just wondering if I am out of the loop and missed a post or something

Im with Brin on this one. No one really knows. Those in the CU test may be sliping some hints but who cares. Im not in it for the millions. I make good stuff at a fair price. Thats all really. I dont think much will change. Except we all have to re-learn our profession lol!

Save them....with the CU changes they are making alot of high end critters/NPCs too tough to handle solo. This loot won't be as easy to get in a few months.

Oh, I agree. Stuff won't be as, if at all soloable as it is now after the CU. I was just wondering about the faction armor and the it will be tedious to craft. I just wanted to know if this is hard info or someones guess. I thirst for knowledge

Good post. I sorted out all of my resources into classes based on OQ/SR/MA/UT in that order. I have several hides that were horrible on MA/UT but decent on OQ/SR. I'm going ahead and using those now before the CURB and I'm saving all the resources that are high on all four for afterwards. As for enhancers, I'm using some now and saving a few Exceptional and far above base items.
I thought about just holding off on using anything good until after the CURB but then when I really thought about it, we don't know which resources will be good, for that matter we don't even know if we will be using the same resources to craft each type of layer, segment and armor. The only thing that will remain relatively constant after the CURB is cash so I'm trying to make as much of that as I can now to be prepared to buy whatever I might need in the future.
Hopefully the changes will come soon and we won't have to worry about what to do for months and months.

I guess on that issue, the 'limitedness' of the uses is a concern. It is one thing to have a schematic with 1 use that costs 45,000 faction points versus a limited use schematic that isn't costly and has mutliple uses.
I also don't know if the issue of the crafters faction status has been determined? Will you have to be a Colonel? Combatant? Etc...
There is a lot to figure out before then.

I love 1-star bandits. Go ahead, give me another p*ssy.
Anyways, yes it is pure speculation on my part... and as I've read all of the public release data on this I think I'm fairly well educated on the matter. /bow

Faction armor will have limited use schematics.... I doubt that we will be able to make factory runs with them either. Therefore Im assuming that it will be time consuming and tedius to make.
