Thread: My favorite dev quotes pertaining to AS....
""Item Conversion" is actually one of the biggest parts of the combat upgrade in terms of complexity. We are going to be changing over every item in the game to the new system and the concerns you raise resonate through the community and we know how important "everybody's stuff" is." -TH
"This is a "love foreveryone" update..." -TH
"No, the drop rate for Giant Dune Kimogila scales will not be increased. RIS armor is equivalent to "epic quest" armor and as such, the drop rate is one of the only ways to control difficulty. RIS armor is meant to be this difficult to aquire. Because the various changes since launch, it certainly doesn't seem that RIS is epic armor, but after the combat balance, all of these details will make more sense." TH
"Nothing here is set in stone. There will be changes based on design philosophy, playtest experience, and your feedback." -SWG Project Manager
"Please keep posting on the Beta forums and taking the polls, your comments get read by our Community team, our QA team and by us every day." -SWG Project Manager
"The devs working on combat upgrade can either hit the forums and respond all day to your questions or work on CU. I am sure we are all in agreement with having them bang away at issues and bugs with CU rather then post all day. " - Tiggs

Yeah except as things stand right now. It's all lies when you look at the hard numbers AS and WS have come up with. When you have powerhammers that were selling for 100k in live now converting to only a 6 point damage difference to ones that sold for 30 million.
My personal favorites are the last two.

Heh..yeah, I found that kinda ironic as well.
But who knows..maybe they are reading, but just choosing not to respond. I've been looking at the DevTracker. Helios is all over the place in the WS and Commando forums. That man looks like a machine.

more than likely, they've been told to implement the crafting changes as they were originally designed and only tackle easy changes that aren't related to balancing combat. Everything is focused on combat in the testing. Crafting is secondary.

Yea, but if that were the case, I would hope he'd pop in with some "but this is why we're doing it" posts..... reasure us, let us know we're being heard.
But we're mere players, I guess we don't rate that curtousy from the almighty dev's.... sorry, but being ignored, and having the waste of a code shoved down my throat has made me a little cyncial.....

I hear ya...been that way myself quite a bit lately. I just wish they'd communicate a little more even if it was just to say we can't do anything about that right now.
