Does anyone know how to store materialsfor agroup of peopleto access? The only way I can think of is to leave it in the harvester, which is not appealing for a couple of reasons. I have in mind a central storehouse that specified people can enter and pick up items. Any ideas?

Assuming you have a house - simply give the persons you wish to access the materials the proper permissions for the house. Without a house, a harvester and hopper permission is the only other option i can think of. Hope that helps.

Tried the house and admin option, but only the house owner can pick up things in it. So that won't work. I am very reluctant to use the harvesters to store the materials until I am sure that they won't just dissapear.

Ok....its finally come time to ponder new ways of storing resources. I'm used to using labelled backpacks in a small naboo house, but my collection has become a little insane. How do you other AS's store resources? I'm looking for the most organized / lot effective solution.

I use vendors, and my home. Works well for me.
As master merchant i get 12 vendors. I use 1 for AS resources, 1 for top grade resources, and 1 for grind resources that i use. I leave my hide on the floor in lines 1 line will be wooly, another scaley, etc... And they are palced in order from best to worst.
Leaves me 9 vendors left over ( 3 for armor, 1 for psg's, 2 for resources for public, 1 for tailor components, and 2 for architect goods)
Now that im getting merchant on my combat alt, i will spread this out even more- and use 1 vendor for AS copper/steel. 1 for iron/gems. and 1 for fiber/poly. And still will use floor for hide storage.
Use my combat alt's vendors for resources to public and architect goods.
I thought factories would be good, but very unorganized sometimes. Setting up extra houses uses up to many lots. So vendors work well for me- i click on type then look for name. I now what i need and grab it.
All items are placed there for 9999999 credits and 50k entry fee on my house.
I also would like to see other ways to store items and resources, though this works well for me.

My packs on the wall are as follows: Metal, Ore/gemtone, wood/bone, gas, chemicals, hide. I also rotate out lesser stat stuff to another house as well as stuff I have more than 100k of. I keep segs, layers, panels in one house. Loot stuff in another (janta, NS etc)

I have a system which I really like. I use those cargo pockets. I keep one stack of each resource needed for a given task. I have a pouch labelled composite, another labelled wookiee hunting, another labelled ubese, another labelled RIS. When I'm crafting or filling factories, I just pick up the pouch i need at the time, and when i'm done I set it down. It's really illogical to put all your gemstones together when you generally just need one stack, and then one stack of polymer, and one stack of something else. Best is to organize by FUNCTION, not type.
Then I have longer term resource storage in a small house dedicated just to that. But I refill the pouches whenever I need more of a given resource. I hardly ever need to go to my resource house, except when refilling or restocking.
As far as mass storage the house is one way, factories are another. But the real challenge is organization and I think the pouch system is the way to go. I don't wear a pack anymore and I don't even miss it.

Factories. Many many factories.
I have 6 myself, and in each I placed labelled backpacks and even labelled the Factories for specific things like "Composite Armor" "Ubese Armor" etc. The tricky thing is if i'm making composite, I use the factory that's NOT labelled composite, to prevent overcraft. A little complex, however, lots of storage space.

Hehehe
I 'try' to keep my ubese resources (along with kinetic layer resources) in one factory with my other resources for lower armors (chitin, padded, ect) in one factory and all my composite resources in another factory while a third fac has the rest on my layer stuff.
I keep a equipment fac that is used for AUK's and PSG components while another fac I keep my Village ores and energies.
Of course all these factories are on other peoples lots
I also have 5 droids that house any overflow and I name the droid accordingly ( ie. compy for composite stuff) as well as 2 vendors which I keep my special drop stuff on like RIS drops, Jaanta Hide, Krayt drops, ect, which I use the 900,000,000 storage fee.
There is also my bank box which has a few items in it I use for Armorsmithingas well as my ever present backpack which is stuffed to the gills with varoius resources.
Then there is my husband who also has droidscrammed with my stuff as well as his bank box and him 'offering' items on my vendor.
I did the backpack thing but that became too confusing with cross over resources so I try to sort by armor. But in a few days it gets all jumbled up anyway so its more organized chaos than anything

for crafting i have a bags separated into chem, minerals, and organics. these are for my most used resources.
then i have 3 vendors, 1 for loots, another for armorsmith resources, and one for weaponsmith resources.
i also have two bags for my crafting outfits. one for armorsmith/weaponsmith.
its a bit confusing at times but it works out somehow

mine is a bit complicated but has evolved over the years...
First I have tool chests which I made labled for each major type of resource I use regularly and those I don't us regularly bunched together (for example all the main metal types of copper, aluminum, steel, and iron but petrochems and oresare all thrown together)
I also have a seperate pack for where I toss resources of my current project in, if I'm making composite I throw all my composite resources into it, and when I'm done I put 'em all back
And simply because it's so resource specific, I have a seperate pack for RIS resources.
Most of my resources fit in one small generic house, tho I have another house for my grind quality architect resources and another for components and junk.
