I do have a vendor for storage. Its loaded mostly with factory cases of tailor made parts.

I have found a good way to store items is inside packs that are inside crafting stations they are not counted against your building total after you close the crafting station.

I would stay away from factories for storage, they're starting to disappear randomly again.

I have a station set up for each type of armor. All extra resources go into a resource house with one station that can hold pretty much everything else.

I got burned on storing resources on a vendor, so I do it this way and haven't lost a thing yet. Plus, I don't have to look in bags for what i need, the specific crafting station has it set up already.

Pick what you want to make, go to that station and there you go.

All cloths and such stay in the factories till I'm ready to use them. Usually keep one of each on me when crafting and just go to the factory after the schematic is madeto pick up how many I need. Keeps me well organized.

1 word, Vendor.

Having over 1500 stacks of resources and then 70 bags of hides, cubes, blah blah blah i would need a field of factories. Instead I have master merchant, 1 huge resource vendor. I then break it down into packs i can take off and use to make my current composite, ubese, ris, wookie, etc. Refill those as needed. Works well and you don't have to waste lots with storage, can use them to harvest more resources and/or put up factories to use as factories instead of storage. Granted if my alt needs resources I have to think ahead and take it off the vendor and leave it in the house, but a small price to pay to have all my lots free for the uber resource i know is just around the corner.

I use 15 small naboo houses to store all my resources. I got lucky and snagged a spot 900m from the Theed Starport, across the south bridge. ReasonI use houses, this is the only way CSR's can track resources. If a factory goes poof, CSR's cannot track at all what you have stored within an input hopper of a factory. We've had atleast 3 WS/AS on Radiant have to retire because they lost a factory full of their best resources.

As land opened up around my vendors, I would put down a small naboo storage house. This keeps away competitors and makes it easy for me to run and snag a 100K of something whenever I need it. If you pull up the"M" map around my vendors, you can't even see any other vendors of note within range of mine. And like I said, I'm on the edge of the prime build zone in Theed Naboo!

All my ultra valueable resources I keep in my banks. CSR's can only track stuff (i.e. replace) you keep in a bank or house.I do keep one vendor for storing grind and 3rd best shift stuff on... for some reason, I just can't delete something I mined myself and thought would be great.

I use one small house to store bulk (100K) stacks of quality resources. The smaller stacks that I'm in the process of using go into packs which are placed on my storage vendor. The packs are broken down by usage, not resource type. Examples are "layer resources", "composite resources", "Ubese resources", etc. Bulk stacks of grinding or junk resources go into a pack labeled "surplus" on my storage vendor.

First off I will say that if the dev's ever change the vendor's to prevent storage I will definitely sign off permanently!

Anyhow,

1.) Crafting house seperate from shops. (high entry fee)

2.) Crafting station stores all AS unique resources. (pouches used to cluster for high volume items(wookie hunt)(comp))

3.) Vendor, next to station, stores all segments, back-up resources, factory runs(all at 999999999)

4.) Toolchest, next to station, stores my current factory crates being used to build stuff (partial crates)

4a.) This keeps my inv empty of partials and easier to get at than a vendor.

5.) Carry on person, in pack, one stack of each resource I need that is NOT unique.

6.) Carryon person, in pouch, one stack of best Comp final assy resources.

6a.) You are always building up comp so the few resources are better on you than in the hopper and I seperate so I only use best resources.

7.) Assembly line house forstoring factory runs in labeled chests of matched sets for myfull set assembling forselling

8.) Slice house with vendor and pouches to organize that process. (high entry fee, adm list for my smugglers)

8a.)Tried this in my shop in a seperate room but with slicing full factory runs really needed to have ability to use full houses inv. slots

When pulling in a new resource I go through each area as follows to prioritize quality and see if stack needs to be inserted and moved around.

6.), 2.), 5.), 3.) If less quality than all these then it goes on the resource sales vendor in the shop.

There ya have it.
