Told ya I'd get the ball rolling on this this week. I'll be contacting several of you later today on MSN who I told I would to discuss things.
I'm going to try and keep this as a sort of log page for progress and each time I update, I'll stick the date and notes.
August 2, 2005 -
Talked with Scorpius, Keeper and Shiro tonight. Discussed the feasibility of a bug database for us to put things in, as well as some other database and graphical options. Talk with Scorpius if you would like to help with the coding side of things, Keeper or Shiro about the graphical design side, and myself about the writing.

*Questions I'd like to get rolling:
I'd like to kind of organize us into small teams, where each person can do what they're especially good at (yes, you can cross and mingle between if you're good at a few things)
1) Who would be willing to host this since my idea with VT fell through (I.E. Server "Team" including our web-savvy PHP/SQL/Insert appropriate Acronym here people)
2) Who would like to head the Art "Team"
3) If no one objects, I would like to head the Writing "Team"
4) What other types of "Teams" do we want/need?
Feel free to kick ideas around in here, share what you have, etc. This is OUR website, and everyone in the community is welcome and encouraged to contribute.
*Last notes - Things I'd like/"Can we do this?"
-Journal for whomever the Corr is at that time to keep you guys updated (As I hope this would last beyond my time as Corr)
-Test palettes to play with?
I'll let you know more as I think of it.

Just a few things I have been thinking of that we somewhat already have in the forums, but anyways.
- Master List for Armorsmiths (City,Planet,Server)
-> Also this could have what type of armor they can make and maybe let them update what they have in stock as of a current date.
I'm a tad bit tired now so can't think of everything but I'll add rest later or talk to you on MSN about it.

As Scorpiux and I spoke while you were away we listed up with a couple o' things that might be doable and desirable for the site.
Content:

- Schematic list with details

I also looked up a domain name for it. www.SWGArmor.com is avaliable if we want it.
Other than those I think that intereactive colour pallets would be an awesome idea.
I may not have the time for it, but I know it could be made in Flash.
I don't really fit into either of those teams but as I said in the first thread, my "specialty" would be Macromedia Flash. Where that puts me... I'm not really sure

Suggested feature:
Module that pulls server specific armorsmith resources with UPDATED schematic requirements.
(The only sites out there that pull armorsmith specific resources are still using the old schematic requirements.)

True, but there is no good way to assemble a page full of schematic specific resources via SWGCraft, unless I just don't know how to use it well. I tried the "my resources" thing and also clicking on a resource from the links contained in the recipe section of a specific schematic, but both functions are disabled.
I haven't messed with the resource filters yet, but maybe that's what I need to use?

You could use the skilltree link. All appearances use generic resources so that's one line you don't need to worry about. The rest should be pretty easy to get an overview of.

A listofArmor loot items/components, who drops what, loot rates (if applicable) would be nice too.
But I really think we need a well organized guide section for both newbs and vets.
From how to grind the Artisan trees all the way to DWB maps/tactics.

I'd also be more than willing to help out with graphics design, if you could use my help. I can't say that I am very active within the AS community because I do not own an Armorsmith character, but I love web designing and everything that goes with it. I also believe I can contribute something to the site that not too many others could: a guide to crafting the elusive Mandalorian armor.
(p.s I'm friends with Lynnaea / Naea!
