Often hear people said slicing the weapon.
What it take to slice a weapon and does it need other associate skill treesin the smuggler line to be successful
Thanks.

Slicing a weapon is just like slicing a terminal you can put on a FAN or a clampthen pick the wire. If you are successful the weapons speed or damage increases by up to 25%, thats for slicing 2 not 4. Of course slicing 4 doesnt seem to add anything better then slicing 2 for now. If you fail the weapon stays the same but it can never be sliced again.

Maybe a stupid question here... but would it be a good idea to save some of them low-level weapons I've been destroying and use them as slicing practice?

Why, when you can buy them off the bazaar for 25crs. Anyways there will be plenty of people that want there weapons sliced So wasting upgrade kits on cdef pistols seems like a wast.

No when you reach slicing 2 you can make the FAN and at slicing 4 you can make the clamp. Just like the laser knifes.

Not being a profession that can slice, I am shooting in the dark here as to all the different slicing options, but I do know that a beautiful little smuggler sliced my rifle and increased the amount of damage it delivers. I t is in effect a permanent power-up

Slicing will add a perminate Attack or Speed(and maybe other attrebutes) powerup to your weapon. Smuuglers do it. The average price of one is about 2-3k.

It is to my current knowlege that Sumgglers can open locked containers, and do slicing. I could be wrong, but I think they are the only ones who may do so.
