a couple days ago i managed to get all the loot items needed for a R.I.S. helmet. so i went to one of my armorsmith friend named Cabezawho i trusted would do a good job, and had him make me this helmet.

http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=86195

i think he did a wonderful job on the helmet and i would go back to him for my RIS needs in a heart beat. but i dont know what ris statsare considered good oraverage so i was wondering how this helm stacks up to other helmets that you armorsmiths have made. thanks for your time.

Personally I prever stun acid vuln to low stun or acid due to condition loss associated with them while in use, but I must say that is a VERY nice helmet for one with no vulns. I assume you used krayt scales or rancor components, hence the extra special protections?

I'd guess Rancor, since DBI Acklay / Randor / Nightsister R.I.S. Helmet is the name of it

I don't want to knock your efforts as I know the things to make ris armor aren't easy to come by. I have been helping a armor smith and so far gurk king hide is the only easy one to get.

However I hope your going for the how rare the item is and how it looks. If not I must say the protection is ok but 13% stun 80% some other things. I have 3 suits of armor on me at all times.

1is crap 80% kin low encrum 65% rest no stun at all this is for hunting and screwing off

2 is 43% stun 75% rest - for the fencers who think they are tough.

3 is 80% elec 90% rest - 0% stun this is for the rest of you.

I also have a psg with 45% stun and a few other things but dont rememer.

I'm not bragging jst saying I paid a lot for this and while you armor looks really really cool and if i have the chance I would buy some. I hope it can be made better as most of the protection can't even be sliced.

Great job on making it though.

My issue with the acid at 13% would be that you're going to be taking more damage than you would if it was a vuln most of the time. It'll block a little bit of AP1 acid pistol damage, but with a DXR6b you're going to be getting hit for more damage because of the AP2 rating than if it was a vuln, as well as decaying the armor extremely quickly.

Still, an awesome helmet and great achievement, I'm just not sure I would've gone the same route (no vulns).

I assume you're talking about composite? Well Composite looks ready for a big nerf, R.I.S. doesn't.
