Thread: 80/80/80 resistant composite

Can anyone tell me how to put kinetic, electric, and energy into the special resists on composite armor.

I just started making composite and have stockpiled quite a few great resources. I have been able to make 80 kinetic, 80 electric with 71 base, but want to find out how to make the special protection with 3 different 80% stats.

Thanks in advance.

If you are making 80% kin/elec with 71% base try this... Try using 2x 5%kin maxed base layers, and 1x 10%energy with base as close to max possible layer. You might loose a point of base but that still leaves you with 70% base + 10% on both kin and energy = 80% kin and energy. Just make sure to put a point or two as needed into special protect on the segment for the 80% elec.

That is a rough idea of what you can do, if you toy around with it you can probably streamline it to be even better

Indeed, I make quad and have 68% Base :-)

Same here, with 70-71% base though.

Sales for it are incredible.

I just find it easier to do krayt scales higher than the 4% base. I normally try to get at least 3 of the stats at 7% or higher when I use them. This allows me to get an all 80% special for every stat. Yes this is all in the special and cant be sliced for a higher effectiveness, but in turn when encompased with an enc. slice that always seems to be 25 or higher, makes the armor quite nice.

Same here but I stop at 70%(fewest pts possible to hit 4% base on the layers).

Learn me oh wise and powerful masters as to why would you limit your armor to 80% ?

I have 2 suits, I make a 18% stun 80% electric 68% base NPCSlayer suit

and a 80% Kinetic 80% Electric 70% Base PVE suit

my 80k/80e/69 base : I have a 80/80/90 Base sliced suit from 10 suits sliced

my 18s/80e/68 base: I have a customer that has a 18s/80k/90 base suit from 6 sliced suits

I understand the price to slice might be high on other servers, but why are you limited your customer to 80% armor when they could have 90% ?

I am contiplating switching over to 80% electric 70% Base and 40% stun when I have decent resources to sell for slicing so my customers are not limited by design only credits/Smuggler fees.

If I do it this way i cater to my low end customers who might not even know about slicing, and my High enders who can throw away millions to make nice suits

why is the 4 80% better ?

I currently have some quad segments in the oven for test purposes, based on the interest that this post generated yesterday. But I guess I have the same question:

What's the point of 80 Kinetic / 80 Blast / 80 Electric / 80 Energy / 71 Base (unsliced) when my standard 80 Kinetic / 80 Electric / 71 Base (unsliced) can potentially have the effectivenessbase sliced to 90%? Even a poor slice has potential to get above 80. It seems that you're limiting the possibilty of high base protection by putting some of the standard bases into the special.

Really, the only advantage I can see is in the case of an encumbrance slice, in whichthis quad formula guarantees 80% to Blast & Energy.

Think about it guys.... not everyone HAS the credits to slice 6-10 suits to hit 90%. Those who generally buy the 4x80(blast) stuff are grenade chunking fs grinders, which means to unlock that way they have to stand in the middle of a lair and throw grenades at it (the player, lair and any npc in the blast radius takes dmg). By doing this, these guys go through more armor when compared to a conventional grind of whackin npcs. This is one of the easier ways to grind fs(all combat xp).

That's an angle I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the input.
