Thread: Ithorian Defender Armor, Monday and Today
Hopefully this will get fixed - seems like they've just got a code bug thats producing the wrong schematic type in the final combine.

...i made 500 composite segments that were supposed to give me 80% acid/kinetic/electric and a 71% base , like i crafted a few days ago. Now I go to make the armor i get
25% blast
80% kinetic
80% electric
12% ACID???
70% energy and cold as my base...
The 12% acid is because acid's been moved to a natural vunerability of the armor, and like stun in regular composite you're only getting the protection of the layer as the protection in the final assembly.
I dunno. I was pretty shocked when I tried to make some Itho armor yesterday (I was in beta, so I've seen Itho stats for a long time now). Bug or not, I think that we deserve a dev response on it.

Also try posting to the Live Issues forum. After I posted this issue in the Corr forum I was told to repost it in the Live Issues forum as well. I still have not heard back from the Devs regarding the status of this bug (I suspect that they're all working on the combat upgrade and sandbox. Note that this is yet another issue that will probably disappear under the new system).
That's all fine and dandy, Jaato, but I don't think this is a particular bug that can or should wait for the much-ballyhooed, mythical Combat Upgrade. I've got a few customers who rerolled (year-plus) old characters to Ithorians when JTL launched, fully expecting Ithorian Defender Armor to be Composite with a new graphical skin, as I had made and demonstrated to them when the "Publish 11" stuff was pushed to the live servers.
Now they are totally hamstrung like Wookiees were back before their armor, particularly in PvP and certain higher-end PvE encounters, where acid weapons are commonplace. The heat vulnerability hurts more in a few PvE realms, but it can be somewhat mitigated by a PSG. The acid vulnerability is just killer though, since PSGs are vulnerable to acid damage as well. Heck, the low blast resists will be killer as well if you encounter a swordsman or a power hammer-wielding Nightsister or Sith Shadow.
We all know that the Combat Upgrade will totally change everything from the way we know it to something totally new (and theoretically from the land of rainbows, green meadows, and golden skies), but people have to work within the system the way it stands today. This bug does not help those folks who took advantage of the new JTL content and chose Ithorians for their characters.
