Monday I made 10 sets of Ithorian Defender armor in a factory run. It had the following stats on creation:

Special Protection

80% Kinetic

77% Electric

Effectivness

69% Energy

69% Blast

69% Heat

69% Cold

69% Acid

Vunerable

Stun

Lightsaber

Now today as I uncrate it for stocking I get:

Special Protection

25% Blast

77% Electric

80% Kinetic

Effectiveness

69% Energy

69% Cold

Vunerable

Stun

Lightsaber

Heat

Acid

Was this a change that was ment to take place? Or is this a bug?

On a side note, a set i hand made monday kept the original stats. So it appears it occurs as its uncrated.

Any word on this? I'd like to buy my armor and I'm not sure if it will be changing back.

From the stats described, it sounds like a bug - the new quoted states are for Padded armor, not composite, hence the low blast (which should be experimental), and the acid vulnerability.

Hopefully this will get fixed - seems like they've just got a code bug thats producing the wrong schematic type in the final combine.

You got a photo of the armor ?. Also how many layers and what specials can you put into it. Im very curious myself....

I thought Ithorian was suppose to have LS resitance any way besides mando armor or is that another armor.

I Made some Ithorian Defender Armor on Monday also. I made it by Hand and the Stats where

80% Kin

77% Elec

68% Base.

Vun

Stun

LS

Today I made a helmet and the stats are

80% Kin

77% Elec

25% Blast

68% Base

Vun

Stun

LS

Heat

Acid.

My theory is that these changes are inteded ,as all my Armor was hand crafted.

The Game engine is actualy creating the Armor as its pulled from the crate, until this point your armor is seen as a crate object by the engine, thus the new stat change is applied at the point the armor is created, if you see what i mean.

My Question is. are these (Pre Patched) armor items now an exploit and i will get CRT/DEVS on my back about them or are they legitimate items?

I think they should be classed as Legitimate due to the fact that when i created them i did so under the pretence that they where a Valid gameitem and not seen as an exploit at the time !

I am Hopeing the Devs don't deleat them from my inventorys as they used up a whole load of very good resources to make.

Also if we get to keep them i am wondering as to there potential value.

Apologies for taking so long to answer this, it's been a mad week

I'd been told that there was a bug with slicing the new Ithorian armour (as it turns out,all seems fine), so, after going all over my server searching and finally having my AS friend log on, I managed to get a piece of each Ithorian armour type to slice. Having heard about the crate pulling problem, I also got him to put some in a crate for me to slice incase that was also causing a problem.

Anyway, it was a piece of Defender armour and the stats came out the same, only the special protections were listed in a different order; Screen shots below.

I hand made Ithorium and got the same reduced stats today so its not associated with factory crates.

A set I made several days ago has retained its original stats.

i dont understand, you claim this is a slicing bug, but the armor isnt sliced yet , perhaps im reading something wrong or what. But isnt this armor supposed to come out like composite? i made 500 composite segments that were supposed to give me 80% acid/kinetic/electric and a 71% base , like i crafted a few days ago. Now I go to make the armor i get

25% blast

80% kinetic

80% electric

12% ACID???

70% energy and cold as my base

i hope this isnt a stealth nerf a week after the devs made this, a bug i can deal with but making people waist thier resources for a nerf? not cool me thinks speically when i tell my customers that i have armor coming soon with the stats mentioned in the first paragraph. and now i cant give em that. ehh well thats the way the cookie crumbles

The 12% acid is because acid's been moved to a natural vunerability of the armor, and like stun in regular composite you're only getting the protection of the layer as the protection in the final assembly.

I dunno. I was pretty shocked when I tried to make some Itho armor yesterday (I was in beta, so I've seen Itho stats for a long time now). Bug or not, I think that we deserve a dev response on it.

Same situation with me. Last thursday (I think) I made a couple of suits and got regular compo stats. Today they turn out like stated above. A couple of suits in the vendor still have the old stats..

Think I'm gonna stay in space until I hear a official statement about this. And yes, I /bugged it.

Also try posting to the Live Issues forum. After I posted this issue in the Corr forum I was told to repost it in the Live Issues forum as well. I still have not heard back from the Devs regarding the status of this bug (I suspect that they're all working on the combat upgrade and sandbox. Note that this is yet another issue that will probably disappear under the new system).

That's all fine and dandy, Jaato, but I don't think this is a particular bug that can or should wait for the much-ballyhooed, mythical Combat Upgrade. I've got a few customers who rerolled (year-plus) old characters to Ithorians when JTL launched, fully expecting Ithorian Defender Armor to be Composite with a new graphical skin, as I had made and demonstrated to them when the "Publish 11" stuff was pushed to the live servers.

Now they are totally hamstrung like Wookiees were back before their armor, particularly in PvP and certain higher-end PvE encounters, where acid weapons are commonplace. The heat vulnerability hurts more in a few PvE realms, but it can be somewhat mitigated by a PSG. The acid vulnerability is just killer though, since PSGs are vulnerable to acid damage as well. Heck, the low blast resists will be killer as well if you encounter a swordsman or a power hammer-wielding Nightsister or Sith Shadow.

We all know that the Combat Upgrade will totally change everything from the way we know it to something totally new (and theoretically from the land of rainbows, green meadows, and golden skies), but people have to work within the system the way it stands today. This bug does not help those folks who took advantage of the new JTL content and chose Ithorians for their characters.
