I suspect that this armor is on the same grounds as past armor will be once the combat revamp is complete.
Its been stated that all weapons that have come out since around the time of the executioners hack, forget what publish that was. are inline with ideas and plans for the combat revamp.
I'd be will to bet "All In" that this is not a bug and the armor is inline with what the devs have planned for the revamp.

I totally agree there. The changes make way too much sense in support of balance to be a fluke. /thumbs up

The changes make no sense at all, especially if you look at the resistances possibly with Guardian, made with chitin segments. Using the -same- (from the same factory run) segments and resources: If I craft Chitin, I get 63% kinetic. If I craft Guardian, I can get 80% kinetic. Both items have the -same- encumbrance. This is not a fluke, I was able to recreate it and in fact the segments I was using were overkill for reaching 80% since I hit that before maxing the Special line. Even if you disregard the presence of an un-experimentable blast, the fact that 80% kinetic is reachable on a "lower armor" is most definately not intended.
Guardian at 80% kinetic
Defender which uses Composite segments but is now in Personal Armor 4, gets resistance levels similar to Padded (48-50% base) but covering the same ones as composite with the difference of blast, which experiments like Composite. In the screen shot, the armor on the vendor is from before they broke it and has resistances in-line with Composite. The one in examine is from the 28th and is clearly borked.
Defender
Sentinel which uses Padded segments but is now a Master armor, gets resistance levels similar to Composite (60+%base) but only covers the resistances which Padded does. Again, the armor on the vendor was crafted before it was broken and the examined one from the 28th.
Sentinel
This is NOT inline with anything they could be planning for the CU. This is bugged, broken, borked. They broke Defender and Sentinel when they switched them because one -visually- looked more protective than the other. Guardian, I have no clue how or why that one is broken, it jsut is (I didn't craft it until the 28th, so I don't know if it was affected by the same change as the other 2, but I suspect it was).

Oh man, yeah I crafted some Ithy Armor when it first came out and it worked fine. I had no idea it was now broken.
That really sux!

I concur Ainwyn. I was more than a little irritated when I was told to go post in the live issues forum.
The current state of Ithorian has nothing to do with the combat balance. It definitely looks like a bug to me.

Hmmm I was wondering about this myself. Made some Ithorian Armour for the first time today that I assumed would be just like composite seeing as it uses identical resources only to see it come out like "good Padded".
Think I'll leave it in the factory crates for a few days and hope this bug (surely its a bug and not intentional?!?) to be fixed.

Please keep this thread up to the top. Maybe someone will reply from the dev team.

Basically, they switched the resist profiles forsentineland defender. Prior to space being enabled, both corresponed exactly to their humanoid counterparts, but now I see padded resist levels (50ish base) with comp resist profile (stun and LS vuln only) on sentinel and comp resist levels with padded profile on defender (padded vulns but composite level bases).
As far as guardian goes, I get 64kin chitin and 80kin guardian with the same segs and ingredients, so that is its own bowl of whackiness.

Hmm, padded stats and compo stats switched?
And I hate making padded...
Truly hope we get this sorted out so the angry mob of Ithorians can finally leave my shop.
Wanted to say that I still have this problem and give the thread a friendly /bump.

Wow,I am so glad that I haven't made a run of Ithorian Defender armor yet (was waiting on some new resources I was mining).
I'll have to tell all of my pre-order people to wait a little longer though... sucks...
Any idea on how long it will take to get a definite answer on this?
Should we just get as many people as possible to respond to this thread?

This is either a stealth nerf or a really bad bug
I made a set the day the Ithorian armor was made available in Live for display in my shop.
80% Kinetic
77% Elec
66% Base
I happily sold the set a few days after JTL went live to an Ithorian that asked me if it was for sale (First one I saw hehe) for 200K
I made a helm today...
80% Kinetic
77% Elec
25% Blast???
66% Base
Vuln to Acid, Heat??? Stun and LS
Looks like an issue with me.....Guess the new race gets its first major bug/nerf in its first week! Welcome to SWG Ithorians!
"Guess the 200K for that original set is a steal now lol"

Have you checked to see if the armor you sold has changed stats?
