Hi guys.
I was looking at my armor yesterday, and I saw that boots and gloves, while technically armor (and so needing a certification to wear them), offer no protection and have no hindrance. Was this change intended? I wasn't able to do any testing on TC-Ep3 because of ISP problems, so this revelation is all new to me. I just checked your schematic thread linked up top, and it shows no cores needed for these items, so I guess all is well.
If you guys already know about this, my apologies for adding to the chaos these boards can become.

Yes, but do Armor Attachments work in them? If yes, then you have some very long lasting armor slots for them, since they will only decay upon death.....

Boots and gloves can no longer be made with sockets.

If you don't know the reasons for this, then you really aren't a good armorsmith.

And when you refit them, they lose the sockets. If you are lucky, you may have an armorer on your server that thought ahead and made some ubese and padded gloves and boots before the cu
There will be plenty of composite all over the place.

Refit = 3 sockets at the moment I beleive...

So what you are saying is that I need to take all the socketed boots and gloves I have (3 composite, 1 ubese) and hold on to them? Now, if you respec boots and gloves with full sockets, do they loose the enhancements given by the AA's? If not, it would make sense to add AA's to the boots before respec...

No they do not lose them. At least they didn't last time I tried.

You are correct, I just tried refitting gloves and boots and ended up with 3 sockets. I should know better by now to try it in game instead if trusting what I read on the forums

Okay, I believe I missed the announcement about this. Truthfully, since I don't have much contact with Trandoshans (being Imperial as I am), their inability to wear gloves and boots didn't come to mind. It's good to see they're not going to be hurt by large hand shots anymore.
So, carry on, armorsmiths. There is much work to be done, and I have money to burn.

Honestly, I don't understand why they didn't just remove feet and hands as hit locations just for trandoshans, instead of everyone. Just a quick fix, I guess, simpiler than doing something that actually made sense. Kinda like adding/bringing levels to the fore, instead of balancing all the creatures (although, given the choice, I'm not sure which one I'd have picked...)
