Thread: Sony Incompentence
Message Edited by -Autumn- on 06-02-2005 03:27 AM
Hysterical. I am on this thread due to Sony's incompetence. I am trying to get the corvette wp's for my alt off the forums, but the Lithium garbage search engine won't work for 45 minutes at a time. Sooo... I went to look at what other chefs are saying about the state of the profession, and no stacking means long time chefs are bailing on the profession. 9 minute mini buffs? It takes 9 minutes to get anywhere on a swoop...
Sooo... with a switch to Armorsmith in mind, I tune in here...
And see that the CBTWG (yes, that's Combat Bork The Whole Game) has screwed everyone. I have played since the game opened and have never been more discouraged. How can a great game I loved get so screwed up? Should we have to pay for this month long (and it's gonna be longer) Beta test that is SWG right now?
/resumetopic (hijack over) Just wanted to join in on your rant...
The problem with saying "people will buy it" and "limit your damage" is this..... The armor is named "Black", "Blue", "Green" etc.....
If you stick mislabled armor on a vendor some people are going to buy it thinking it is what it is labeled because they dont take the time to look at the picture and guess what.... then I will have refunds to do on top of everything else.
Why cant SoE just FIX THIS FREAKIN PROBLEM...... I think that is a better idea then me having to settle for substandard crap.
One thing I hate is all the cottling some give to SoE that oh well they are doing their best etc.... They need to FIX this... This is a Major, profession breaking problem..... I would say NOT being able to do factory runs is a big deal..... Dont make excuses for SoE... if it smells like crap, looks like crap then I would say ..... its CRAP.... no excuses

I can't see them "reimbursing" anyone for armor made in the wrong colors, even due to a bug, so all you could probably do would be to limit the "damage". Truely... nothing is "ruined"... just when (if?) they get the colors fixed... make another set of runs the exact opposite of what happened this time. Make the colored ones yellow, and the ones that ended up turning default yellow, the color you wanted originally. That way, you'll have double the number of suits you originally intended. Granted... you'll have alot of the bland default color, but... they WILL sell eventually. Some people dont really care all that much about looks... but even if you have to offer a little discount on the yellow ones... it's better than tossing all the armor that is already made.
Fat chance of getting reimbursed. Ive sent countless numbers of tickets about the ris segs that are "broken", after about the third ticket when they actually had a clue what we were talking about they wont reimburse.

Time to add the scripts to let players change their armor colors, like they did before withcomposite... only this time, leave it in the game for good! I mean if they can't keep this from breaking, just,..damn...spare everyone the headache and let the players colorit how they like.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!! Why shoud the AS be forced to make custom colors? Isn't crafting tough enough? Let we the people color our own stuff.
I agree Sam.... At the VERY LEAST why cant they let the Armorsmith change the colors once to counteract this bug...... This is such BS..... They need to fix this NOW, not after they fix something else.... In my opinion this is profession breaking and basically forcing us to craft everything by hand piece by piece is not a fair expectation at all.
SoE needs to either fix the bug completely or at the least let AS be able to alter the color of armor!

Or seeing as they like making swg like other games, why not give armorsmiths or master artisans the ability to craft dyes that will change the color of the armor. That way they can sleep at night not doing the players a big favor but just giving us something more to chew on.
Yeah I mean guildwars seems to be the only game they havent ripped ideas off of yet.
Give it time. GW just came out recently
