Thread: Sony Incompentence
You know, I'm at the point nowwhere I don't care what the colors come out as ... there are so few AS on Bloodfin right now that I could probably make plaid armor and it would sell just as well.
I figure standard chitin, bone, and ubese will look okay. May not be as "kewl" as the gold composite, the steel padded, or the viridian tantel ... but whatever. If people want the specific colors, I'm available for custom jobs.

The problem with saying "people will buy it" and "limit your damage" is this..... The armor is named "Black", "Blue", "Green" etc.....
If you stick mislabled armor on a vendor some people are going to buy it thinking it is what it is labeled because they dont take the time to look at the picture and guess what.... then I will have refunds to do on top of everything else.
Why cant SoE just FIX THIS FREAKIN PROBLEM...... I think that is a better idea then me having to settle for substandard crap.
One thing I hate is all the cottling some give to SoE that oh well they are doing their best etc.... They need to FIX this... This is a Major, profession breaking problem..... I would say NOT being able to do factory runs is a big deal..... Dont make excuses for SoE... if it smells like crap, looks like crap then I would say ..... its CRAP.... no excuses
Yes, they do HAVE to fix this, no arguement there. My only point was that rather than throw the stuff away, you might be able to do something with it. If you sell pieces individually on a vendor, you are right... people will buy it based on the description, and want a refund. However, if you throw 9 pieces into a backpack, and label the backpack something like "Ubese -Yellow - 5000kin/7000en (Misnamed Pieces)" then put a different backpack on the vendor with the title "Info on Misnamed Piece Suits", which explain that the armor all has the same color, but a couple pieces will say "black" when they're actually yellow, people *might* understand the problem. As long as the suit matches when they put it on, and has the stats you advertised, the actual name of the item is less important as it only affects what they see in their inventory.
Should we have togo throughall of this? NO. But... I, for one, am not going to give SOE the satisfaction of driving me out of the profession I love. Sadly, too many AS's have quit the profession already because of the changes and bugs. I've gone back to making every final appearance by hand to avoid the factory issues, and today, I'm gonna pull my resources off the vendor and put them in labeled backpacks so I can actually find what I need (since the descriptions have "disappeared" again
). Yeah, it's a big pain in the backside, but I have customers that need armor, and I'm gonna figure out any "workaround" I can to get it to them. The customer service tickets and bug reports, as well as the posts on here will keep pushing for fixes, but in the mean time, I'll keep stumbling through what they gave us to work with. SOE slowed me down, but they wont stop me. ![]()

Your resources should have the names in the title again if you just re-list them.

For clarity...
Need to retrieve ---> inventory.
Relisting from stockroom does not fix the display bug.

I've already done that twice.... withdrew the sale, retrieved the items, and then relisted them. They stay there for a couple days, then lose the description again... possibly at server reset.
