Thread: how do you guys price your armor?
i sell my armour which is just under cap for 150k a set its the only way i can shift it im not sure im even making a profit off it but no one comes to shop at our mall it seems so i have to do something to sell it
Location Location Location it helps sell so much stuff im on lok and i feel like my vendors barely move on the sells front
Ahhh the joys of priceing armor ![]()
This might be usefull, it might not be... but i go about priceing my armor per core
ie .. My unlayered assult cores i will sell for 40k per core so 40000x11=the full price of a suit.
Also this makes it much easyer when it comes to priceing single items formy vendor
40k x 1 = arm bits
40k x 3 = chest plate etc etc ...
Making layered and health enhanced armor will cost you slighty more to make becuase of the extra resources used in the schematics, what people are really paying for with this type of armor is your time and skill to make it. I recently made a full 350+ health enhanced 7130 engery layered padded suitfor 500k per core.
Hope that helps ![]()
I price per core and by craft for ris, bh armor and health stuff. Here is my price list. Of course, this is all server dependent
1. unlayered capped 25K per core - suit 275K
2. layered with good protection (7000/8000+ energy on battle, recon, 6500+ on battle primus etc) -50K per core - suit 550K
3. server best layers - 70K per core
4. RIS, BH armor - 100K perpiece unlayered, 150K perpiece layered good protection, 200K per piece server best layers if customer supplies ris loot, bh schematics. I use server best final combine materials.
5. If I supply BH schematics or RISloot then add 200K per BH piece and 600K per RIS piece
Check the bazaar and see what the biggest smiths on your server are charging for their capped stuff. Realize that you're going to have to discount yours if it isn't capped. Go from there.

Don't make the mistake of setting your prices based on cpu of resources used. While that certainly gives you an idea of your production costs, you're selling armor, not resources. Price your armor based on what it is worth, and its worth is determined solely by what people will pay for it. The only reason you need to know your production costs is to reassure yourself that you aren't selling at a loss.

good point
500k cap unlayored
400k close to cap (within 500 points)
250k grinding armor
1.25mil close to cap layored
1.5mil cap layored
2mil close to cap layoredfaction
2.5mil cap layored faction
I also sell individual pieces of the unlayored stuff at(11) / (SuitPrice) * (#ofCores). 2,500 for any boot/glove in custom color
I've never really looked into CPU for resources for calculations but I seem to be making a decent profit and the prices are close to what everyone else is selling so I figure there good.

Just a little info on the resources it takes for a suit of armor: (these are rounded off)
Unlayered - 5000
Energy or Kinetic Layered - 12500
Primus Layered -15000
Honestly the resource requirements are kinda crazy for the end result. But people want that. I said at first that I wouldn't make layers. I was wrong, and now I do!
i dont leave my prices as rock.
It varies on my mood =P.
Generally as a baseline i charge 5k per core + 20k for base products.
Sometimes it less depending on how the stock looks, if i cant get it off the shelves, the price lowers, if i critical fail a piece, i cut the price in half.
Another factor i fit in is quality/rarity of ingredients used. i have a wide variety of stuff, some i have lots of and some i am running out of, so naturally ill look to reap a little more tomake upthe expense of replenishing HQ materials.
Lets say i use second rate materials, i may chargebase price formula then knock 25% off.
Sometimes ill charge 10k more for a piece of armor just because. lol.. some people are big spenders, At the same time ill have the exact same item at 5k below my listed price. I support shoppers that take time to hit the "next" button at my vendors.
Custom orders are almost always cheaper too somehow, im not sure how thatmatches Real world.
