Well, basically, my formula is 5x what I paid for the underlying resources. That way, the price reflects the quality of the armor. For enhanced armor, I'll add in 2x the cost of the component I added in. For the most part, this leaves me with the cheapest armor on my server.

Don't sell based on cpu or production cost. Check what people are willing to pay. Also the "per core" model is very useful and simple. Take the total price for a full suit/ 11 and use that to calculate cost on individual item, round the number up a little, charge 10k or something for boots, gloves etc. That way loose parts will cost a little more than full set which feels good for me cause of the additional hassle.
Location of vendors is important like Tana is pointing out. It's very hard to sell stuff from a vendor in the middle of nowhere.
