I love the scout profession with all my heart, but i was wondering what makes the profession more interesting as a whole. Obviously we make good money on our harvested resources, and we now have some pretty awesome droid (thanks Devs), but what really brings our profession to life? Also, while im on the topic, i would like to ask you guys what you think i could do to help our profession through these boards, i try to help the new people, and i check the boards as often as i can, but i feel like im not getting anything accomplished. Maybe i just need to check the boardsmore often or something. I tip my hat to all you guys working so hard.

What I really like about being a Master Scout is definitly the resource hunting. I really like researching what the best spawns are. You get to learn some stuff about crafting; like what creature resources are used to go into the most popular items and what attributes to look for in a resource. You also have to know what animal to hunt to get that resource. The killing of the animal is pretty mundane, however, there's not much in the game that I can't solo. But, if its a valuable resource (40-50cpu) then its fun to count your money for each animal you kill.

The best thing you can do to help out the community is to play the game, and learn all you can. Then pass on what you learn to newer characters in the game and share that information with the forums. One of my favorite things to do in the game now is to wear my Master Bounty Hunter tag and a helper tag and just help people out. I've given away pretty good scatters to up and coming BHs for free. I even walked a BH through their first post-Inv I mission step by step (using the droids can be confusing the first time you do it).

Other threads are indicating that the +25 cap has been removed. It is possible for some of you smiths on the converted test servers can get together and come up with a +30 suit.

Not that it matters. 1 line of experimentation means there's no need for that many points.

A tad redundant if it's more or less useless.

What's wrong with this picture??

After CU it will be six times as hard for Jedi to gain experience. No more wading into a group of Rancors and kill 6 in under a minute. A white con takes 1-2 minutes to kill and gives 900-1000 exp.

Assuming nothing changes, I suggest that the Cloning experience penalty should go away, so they lose experience only when they die due to a BH mission.

This would help in the following ways:

  • More up and coming Jedi in PvP (more visibility, more missions for us).

  • Allow up and coming Jedi to stay in the game. We do NOT want the lower levels to give up (no missions).

  • It also balances the reduction in power.

Let me know what you think. Do not mention the respec to Knight issue for current Padawans as that is a work in progress.

I think SonG does a great job, but the lack of substantial information in THIS forum is driving me nuts!
