All depends on how experienced you are with RIS, the quality of your resources, how many assembly points you have, and the economy of your server.

I have probably made as much RIS as anyone else on Lowca, have the best resources around, and+25 Assembly. I charge 500k per piece for crafting service and 4 mil for full suits since I dont burn as much resources as I would on 9 individual pieces since they are usually head/chest/legs. Given the time (couple hours for a full suit done right using crafting food/drink)and resources it takes, I think my prices are fair...maybe even a little low. You also have to plan on spending 30 mins - 2 hours with each RIS customer counseling them on all their options. Maybe I need to charge for consultation too haha.

Whatever you charge, if you consistantly do a good job, you will have customers and happy ones at that. Regardless though, some people will whine that its too expensive and try to beat you down on price. This is your queue to explain what getting to the point of being able to make RIS cost you. Seriously, tell them what your resources, crafting suit, RIS quest, and food costs...then, add in that it takes up your game time to make.

I provide everything and charge the customer 4.5 mil per piece and get no complaints. If the customer provides all the components, it's 500k since thebest RISresources are very hard to come by.

Haven't had 1 complaint yet on my pricing, so I think i'm doing it right.

I have made my own suit and one for a customer, who was more than satisfied with my assembly (he payed mewith3 GDK scales for the job).

Now I got some input on how I charge for the pieces crafted

Many thanks guys!

I charge 50k/piece for assembly (thats using my own resources (non-loot). Most people have gone through a lot to get the loot to make them, so I am happy with 50k/piece. I have had positive results with customers advertising for me, (hence my sales of composite and ubese have grown). my 2 cents from sunrunner.

presonally my time is worth more than that, and customers are not just paying for my resources, they are paying for my assembly bonus, my extra experimentation points, my knowledge and yes.....my time

hats off to you for making it affordable though

I've been doing 50K on Radiant but have grown to realize its not worth my time or effortto explain colors, and why the resists are the same as comp. Selling off my spare loots in the form of pick your own color RIS got me to 12pt far faster then making single pieces 50K at a time.

If you want a accurate price talk with some of the RIS certified smiths on your own server and get their prices, I know I got a little upset when I was quoted at a price 20 times higher then my actual charge.

What is a proper price for me to charge for crafting a R.I.S. armor?
- I will provide for the normal resources such as minerals, chemicals etc and the one who orders it give me the loot to use.

IMO, 50k a piece is way too low if you have spent the money on a 12 point suit with a bunch of assembly and you have good resources. I just blew 15 mil to cap out assembly (was at +14 before) to further reduce the likelihood of a blown combine on a customer piece. For my loot hunter customers that are low on cash, I have taken various trades instead of creds...GDK Scales, high-base NS Layers, and Interwoven Schems are the quick way to get free crafting out of me. Always more fun to craft for someone else if you get to make some more for yourself after you get done.

The biggest thing with RIS that I can't stress enough...if you have a great deal of expertise in crafting RIS, never underestimate the value of that. You'd be amazed how many referrals I get from customers, friends, and even other armorsmiths because I specialize in RIS. The people with really specific goals for their suit usually end up coming to be to have it built, and I have yet to have one leave unhappy.

1 more item that seems to be overlooked, is whether or not you are using the Intervowen RIS schematic? If not then charging 50k - 200k per piece if given the resources is fine. But i do not make normal RIS as my time is precious and would just be swamped with RIS orders. I only make Intervowen RIS and thus charge5 mil per piece if i make it with all my resources or 2 mil per use of schematic and time to make a run of pieces if they supply items. Or somewhere in between if they need help with resources. Basically i have come to the conclusion that RIS takes sooo much time due to the lack of crafting knowledge that charging a bit more i think is fair.

But to each his own when setting the price, and servers ecomony will dictate cost usually.
