Im gonna reach Tantel armor later tonight, I want to know what price they usually go for since its only a 3 piece set. Also for all master armorsmiths, what skills did you get at first to get to where you are? Faster I reach composite the better!

Again,

This kind of stuff varries highly.

Know that architects tend to sell their wares at 5 times the number of resources in credits... For comparison that is.

It's going to depend upon quality of the armor (i.e. your technique level and materials) and the demand on your server.

Start it at 4k each for the chest and helm. Raise it from there.

On gorath, at master, I sell tantel helms for 6k and tunics for 8-9k

Hi everyone, I recently got a suit of Tantel and love the idea of the armor, if only it could be made a bit better. From what I have heard, you can only get the helmet, boots and chestplate, is this true and does anyone know why? I amalso wondering what the highest base a suit of Tantel armor can reach, anybody know?

Best Tantel armor that one can make probably has base resist 25-30%. Personally, my best piece had a base of 27%. And yes there are only three pieces available with no vulnerabilities

Oops, forgot to say that this is without enhancements or slicing.

Thanks for the information. I like Tantel, guess my best bet is to use the three pieces I can get with a suit of something else though.

Tantel + enhancers = UBER....

70% base, including stun, is possible, just have to have the right stuf...

The best I've made is 25% base tantel with energy layers I had laying around. I made a black suit of tantel for someone and they had a pair of light colored ubese pants and bracers to go with it. It looked really good. Not bad armor at all and it looks betterthan mabari. Also, james, what enhancers would you have to use to get Tantel to 70% base? I thought it was impossible to do get tantel base that high- but if you know how to do this, fill me in!!!!

Could this be the best stun armor in the game with say the best resources and using 5% + base additives like janta hide or NS plates? I mean say you make the Tantel 35% with a janta hide, and get a nice effect slice? Even at a 30% slice that is 44% stun dunno has anyone tried this. Also, the assumption is made that you use a energy layer and max out the base.

This has come up before - what you really need is good NS layers of about 15% and Janta or Rancor hides of 10%, this would give you 50% stun pre slice....

More is possible if you get the real high end loot drops.

I have been messing around with Tantel because, well why not right? I made some and gave it to a buddy who, properly, used it in a duel with a jedi. Now, the stats of my armor aside, the jedi in question said that this armor was an exploit and shouldn't be used or even exist. My understanding is that this armor has been around for ages in this state, able to resist lightsabers. Now, I can certainly understand why it maybe shouldn't have that resist. I can also see how it could have those resists, given the history that has been given for the armor. I want to know definitively, by a DEV or someone of equal know, whether this is considered an exploit. I don't care about any other information or opinions. Not to be rude but I don't want to discuss the whiny jedis or anything else. I am interested in 2 things. The first, is this an exploit? The second, if its not, how can I make it better

The stats on my current piece are 34 energy 22 base, but I have new info about crafting armor, so I expect I can improve that some.

Thanks folks

it shouldn't work then again i remeber testing it rite after publish 9 and it didn't work. It's not a expoilt. The tantel as always be been broken inaway.

Before it used to already to change it's stats.

Now I beileve it say it's as LS resist which it doesn't. I'll go get it testedagain with my friend.

The way to get make tantel is to make it's base higher with energy layers. The best i've seen was used with good NS layer and a good janta hide.
