Thread: Wookie Armor Report
- yay!
- I've been able to wear the following clothing items with a full suit of armor: Bandoleer, backpack, arm wraps, belt. I cannot wear: waist wrap. shoulder pad. Did not try anything else.
- You can wear the bracers (which look to have build in gloves) with wookiee arm wraps but you don't see the arm wraps. (not going to complain and lose a new found socket, just reporting)
- the 'missing' arms that are mentioned above are kinda hard to see unless you're looking for the bug, but for the record I've also seen this happen in a much worse way when wearing the chefs apron and a pair of arm wraps.... there your whole hand goes missing! EEK!
- I think the body piece should be longer or the leg pieces should NOT block the wearing of a waist wrap. While the chest fits nice with a sigiled waist wrap (if you're not wearing the armor leggings) the absense of anything below the waist looks awkward when in a full suit... especially when mounted on a bike. I'd gladly trade the arm wraps for a waist wrap if the concern is balance/socket #s.
- I had no problem wearing a full suit encumberance wise. After a few nice encumb slices (no, didn't pay for it to be sliced, there really isn't any advantage here, but I'm a smuggler so whatever) the suit all together is just 198/217/153 - for a non-advanced/grind/test suit. That's fine for being ~40%/~20% with a pile of vulnerabilities, but my alt zebrak who can't wear a full *ubese* suit without a couple of encumb slices (damn 400 max secondaries) would be upset if the next armor types are better resist wise but just as 'easy' for a wookiee to wear.
- The top piece just feels too oriental in style. I even bought a sword just to finish off the samarai outfit. However, I really like style of the lower leg pieces and will probably end up wearing those just because.
- I haven't seen any stat shifting and i've been traveling to a few cities and planets now. Thank you to all the smiths on test center for catching this.
- My only real concern - and I haven't fought in the suit enough to know if it is a valid one - is that with a condition of around 20k and each piece covering multiple 'zones' that I'm going to burn through a suit of this pretty fast.
I think that's all from me on day one.

I just got some of this armor on Test Center from Brer (thanks
)and I really like it.
Here's a screenshot of me in my Kashyyykian Armor with a side-by-side comparisonofthe Concept Art for the Wookie Armor: http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=54566
The stats on my chestplate are 36%/25%, my leggings are 37%/24%, my rightbraceris 37%/19% and my left bracer is 37%/24%- only my right bracer has no vulnerabilities.

ROFL!
"If I only had a brain..."
It's the Tinman.
So let me get this straight....wookie armor bracers suffer from the same stat shift that has been in the game wrecking Tantel, PSGs, RIS and the Padded Armor Belt from day one. What a grand design. Why do they keep using the same bugged code for armor. Why hasn't anybody fixed the bigged code to mimic armor that works? It's not real hard. There are 5 armors that work as intented and now 5 items/armors that are bugged....did anybody else see this coming? Half of your code is faulty. Such a disappointment.
Any bets on whether the next armor will be bugged also?
The stat shift has ruined this profession.

Great report Ragnaat. I'll pass that feedback along.
Thanks.
Over the course of the day I've seen a lot more of freaky visual bugs with the armor, but aside from the giant polygon shooting outta my shin when i'm sitting and zoomed out the right amount, oh, and the hair around the feet separating from the feet when you run making it almost look like you have 4 feet, and the bad "connection" at the elbow with the bracers that was already mentioned the other bugs are pretty much standard fair that happen with different wookiee body sizes or clothing types (hint to those that want to make a wookiee... don't make a fat one).
Can't talk much to the crafting side of things, but in combat I haven't run into any problems with it.
And just to reiterate, I have seen no stat shifting with any of the pieces in my suit - including the bracers.
