pvp will always be who has the best skill setup and gear, it's turn based combat. Now if they could balance it out by nerfing armor or dmg vulnerability vs resist so that rifleman and combat medics don't do the most damage than any others, then it might be better.

Right now if you can't do decent mind/stun dmg you suck in pvp if the other guy can.

bring rifleman and CMs with you... did you think you could solo this group and that would be fair? Get a strategy.

More Riflemen/CMs to counter Riflemen/CMs. Now that's strategy

I cant take it anymore, im tired of this game. Its all about money and playing a class that you dont want because its the only one that can do uber damage. I am tired of hunting a jedi who is in a group of 10 people protecting him, while he is buffed, has a shield and is in full composite armor. I will play again if the combat revamp makes it so the player who practices pvp is good not the person who picks a FOTM and can afford the best gear.

At least yours didn't have 3 At-St's along with those 10 people. I used to hunt solo, now I just plain don't bother with the jedi. I went with 8 people, all buffed, and had our asses handed back to us 2 minutes after we got off the shuttle. Let's face it, this game is gonna be totally about the jedi in a few months unless someone puts a stop to this. Make them rare again, the way it was supposed to be. We are soon gonna be overwhelmed by composite-clad sabre-weilding power gamers, waltzing around freely because its "their" game.

I'll just stop now before I say something stupid.

Hehe I think I know who is that Jedi... a friend of mine went solo on him and was slaughtered by his friends and their AT-STs... I've never met him, though.

I've got some screen shots of that night, the jedi's name starts with a "J", and his protectors post here regularly. At least we will know who the very powerful jedi are, then we get together and attempt to take them down.

C'mon guys, we need to get organized and come up with a strategy for dealing with these jedi, we must not let them become too powerful. They can be defeated, but we can't just rush intoit blindly, we all know what happens then.

After wasting many hours playing this game and getting nothing back for it, I have decided to quit. I had a lot of fun, even with all the bugs. There were things I regarded as content. I finished all those things and now I have nothing to do. I log on to find myself sitting in the Coronet Starport and I try to decide what to do, but my decisions is always the same. /sit and /logout. Now, I'm logging out permanently. I hope all of you guys can find $15 or more of fun each month. Best of luck in rl to you- I'll have better luck without this curse of a game.

Can't say that I blame you with the horrible gameplay I've had in the last 25 hours.

Isn't the 'fun' what you got back?

Anyway, sorry to see that you feel you need to quit, its a shame when anyone leaves over a game change.

Well, after a year, I'm out.

I was actually lucky. I unlocked before Patch 9 so I didn't have to undergo the nightmarish Pre-Grind.

However, the Padewan grind is bad enough. It's simply boring. To progress - and not actually regress - I have had to spend the last three months on Endor killing lair after lair after lair of Mereks.

I stuck by the visibility rules and only got hit by BHs four times and griefed only once. However, I was just too weak to fight and got killed each time. I sucked it in and reground the 1.2m exp on the old faitherful Mereks.

The grind might have gone a little faster, if I'd been able to fight Nightsisters or Krayt to get vetter Crystals and Pearls. However, I was too weak to fight them so I had to buy these components.

I had ten harvesters dotted around Lok and used to sell them on my vendor for 2cpu.

Then SOE nerfed the vendors for non-artisans so I broke them down into units of 3000 and tried to sell them on the bazaar for 5999k. But they just didn't sell fast enough. Every day I was greeted with 'Auction Unsuccessful' emails. If I sold them for any else, I wouldn't recoup my energy and maintenance expenses.

So I had to turn my main into a support character - goodbye, Rifles and Pikes and hello a non-combat Master Doc/Master Dancer. She helped buff the Jedi, good, but needed high quality buff packs to sell buffs for money in the starport, bad.

So I opened another account and created a Scout/Fencer/Swords. His job is to hunt for the materials for the doc to turn into buffs to sell so my Jedi can buy the crystals to actually enable me to play the game.... etc. In oher words, I was working all game-day long so I could buy an hours fun with the Jedi, which wasn't actually that fun.

Hell, why give Sony $30 a month to replicate my real life in an online game?

Finally, the conclusion became inescapable. Where's the fun? Ultimately, this is supposed to be a diverse and interesting game playing experience. However, there is simply not enough variety or content for long-time players. I believe that this is the long-term and fundamental flaw in the game and gives it a finite life. After a while, the game is just plain dull.

I believe this is verified by the experience of my guild - SITHS. This was - and maybe still is - an all-Dark Jedi Guild on Bria. Over the last two or weeks, the numbers in this guild - which peaked at 35 , I think - have dropped radically. When I sent members who have left an email asking how they are, I get a reply from someone I don't know, someone who has just bought the character off an auction site. The good players are leaving the game in droves.

Now, me too. All my harvesters, houses, crystals and pearls are packed away. My Jedi and Doc will take a snooze and wake up for JTL, my scout/fencer/swords account will be cancelled. No, I will not give you my stuff. Thanks to all my buds, have a good one the rest of you.

Take it easy, if your not having fun that is the best reason to leave.
