havent you realised their plan?!?! they are going to make this game suck sooooo much, so that it will die out, and then they can use these servers for EQ2, so they dont have to worry about SWG ever ever again!!!!!! *gasp*!

Aside from Weapons, Powerups are now the most complicated items in the game to craft. Go figure.

Don't forget Rangers and Scout who are NOT considered combat professions and won't get the health point upgrade. Hopefully the Krayt or Night Sister will understand and not hit us has hard as they will the real combat professions.

What hide/meat/bone does a nightsister drop again?

Besides, 150-200cpu for a hide vs. 80-100cpu for a crate means crates >> rangers/scouts. Sorry guys, you raped me on resources for too long, now you're screwed, just like us.

Point being that you cannot participate in what you were able to before because Ranger/Scout won't have the health hit points to survive encounters.

I've worked for many Armorsmiths gathering resources for them at THEIR prices which were typically 25-50 cpu. I didn't charge them this they TOLD me what they were paying. If you paid more than that, you screwed yourself.

Lumping all Scout and Rangers together and assuming we are out to defraud the player base is ridiculous.

It's been my observation that the crafters have set the prices on creature resources, not the scouts/rangers. If you're sore about it, blame your competitors for bidding up the prices on such resources.

Another observation, there seems to be different devs working on different crafting aspects of the CU. This may explain the schizophrenic nature of the crafting changes: Docs/Medics/CMs lose all crafting, WS crafting actually gets more interesting/challenging while AS, SWG's premier crafting profession IMO, gets dumbed down worse than SW. Are these Devs talking to each other, or have they all been given carte blanche to do whatever they want within their respective crafting areas?

A little consistency might be nice.

So i have been a crafter since day one for teh simple fact i like the complexity of it. Well day 2 Kauri was down most of day one. All but about 6 months of that time i have been a MAS. I am currently a 12pt RIS certified smith.

A while back i hear that the CU is gonna bring new armor types. GREAT!!! i think to myself. The compostie wars r getting so boring. So i decide to pick up my pre nerf slug thrower and do some imperial missions to get my faction up to where i can craft the imperail armor. TC finally gets the CU so i spend the past week or so grinding combat profs to help the testing along ssimply so i can craft some armor when the time arises. POOF tehy add elites to TC and i immediately go train tailor and AS cause i will need both. Crafting station in hand (after another painful grind) i head to my house set up a couple factories, and open the crafting tool only to find that AS exp is now as worthless as DE exp. Ya there are 2 lines there but only one is worthwhile. Thinking to myself man what happened to the thought process, i didnt realize i was playing a game my 8yr old can play. How unreasonable is it to give AS back what we have grown to actaully enjoy on the noncombat side of the game.

PLEASE PLEASE GIVE US BACK THE CHALLENGE instead of the mindless crafting that you have given us on TC

As an exarmoursmith. I really feel sorry for the profession. I agree that the best part of the job was tweaking the inputs to get some nice armour that gave your customers a slight advantage over the rest.

The resource thing is/was a big pain, having to juggle all the different types but you did need to be somewhat skilled.

Sorry guys and gals. I hope you get some of the sophistication back in before this goes live.

On top of all this so called Upgrade, SOE is expecting us to pre-purchase the next expansion? This is even before we see the CU for what it is on a "Live" server. They're even going to throw in the JTL expansion for free.

This only means one thing.... screw you players!

SOE it's one thing to produce a single player game that has a beginning and an end. Play it once and your done, and it wasn't that great but hey maybe next time.

It's another to produce an online world where you expect people to build cities, businesses, guilds, and fight a galactic war with no end in sight, and quite literally tear apart the only real content in the game.... The Players!

Who in their right mind is going to want to invest so much time into a game produced by Sony after what they see, hear, or experience with this fiasco.

SOE, you are giving every last one of us Players the Middle Finger. You guys just made this game the biggest waste of time and money of any MMO. Live it up, thisis the last game I will ever buy from you.

has sony really forgoten that 75% of all crafters in this game are part time? i am a new armorsmith. only been in it for about 3 months now. i have 5 accounts on this game and if i have to hand craft every suit of armor it will go to 4 accounts. and not to try to change the subject but if they havent made it so jedi can group hunt with other jedi without getting vis then it will go to 3 or maybe 2 accounts, and if the cu sux as bad as it is looking now i will be playing WoW by the end of next month.

i miss the old days sometimes,,,,,,,case of beer, tribes, and my cd player.

This particular change surprised me. I was expecting experimentation caps, sorta like how BER +14 Fusions Generators are capped.

Boy of Boy....you are officially a full time crafter now and will not have any time to do anything else.

Can anyone say "full-time hand-crafter"

Don't you think that "top armor" that the player who wants to obtain all the different widgets should be handcrafted? You can still pump out runs and runs of armor to keep up with mass demands. However as I was chatting with the folks in the Armor smith PA on Test yesterday, the goal is to use the factories to mass produce cores and then drop the cores into appearances on demand.

Please give some feedback on the amount of time to produce a crate of cores on test, I'd really like to know if the process is now significantly longer.

I'm wondering if SOE is trying to enforce sections of their original economic design with more interdependency and more handcrafting.

Can I please have my 20 millions back I spent on Armor experimentation tapes back?

We were anticipating a change with armor. There's been lots of talk for months and months. Some drastic change was not unexpected, considering that the foolish devs did not anticipate players being able to make the great armor at this point in the gaming cycle. I just expected protection and resistance maxes being capped at low percentages and making experimentation much harder.

Yeah i just dont get that. How in the world can a group of full grown addults supposedly educated ones at that not know full well that if they gave us a system where we could experiment base all the way up to apx 75% after the resources spawned enough for us to get near perfect ones and not expect us to work towards that goal.

Then they also added slicing to this and didnt know when they designed the system that we would get 100% base at some point???? (remember they had to go in and cap this into the game when they realized it)

Really how can they expect us to belive they have an IQ any greater than my dog (he is a very smart dog though) when they have displayed such an inabilityt to think through the natural progression of the systems they develop and impliment
