Yup, that's what I did.
I helped my armorsmith out with some janta hides and some titanium aluminum too.

Not quite, RIS requires some specific metals, gems, hides, chemicals that the average armorsmith wont already have. Low quality resources should be easy to or harvest though. You should also give your smith your best nightsister layers and shards for a performance increase.

So, just to be sure I've got this right, for a suit of RIS Armor (not nessesarily a good suit), I would need to loot the following, and then give them to an RIS Certified Armorshmith and the only thing he'd need then is your basic metal etc etc, correct?
9 Non-Identical Woolamander Harrower Bone Fragments
9 Non Identical Reclusive Gurk King Hides
9 Non-Identical Giant Dune Kimogila Scales
Correct? No one-use schematics, or anything right?
Your list of rare loots is correct however.

.... here's a screenshot to be able to possibly confirm the fact that one CAN get GDK scales from the GDK at Kimogilla Town.

Yup, all 10 of mine came from there. A drop of 7 and a drop of 3.
Edit to add pics of my R.I.S suit:

You can tell a RIS looted component by looking at it's description, there will be no stats and no serial number.
Just a pedantic correction, having just looted 10 albatross feathers, I can confirm that they do have a serial number (as the first thing I wanted to know was whether they matched

The addition of a serial number was a recent change to handle bugged Geo Cubes that droped without a serial number allowing basically 1k weapons to be made off a single schematic. Course with the additions of serial numbers came a new bug for RIS components, the multi drops. So when that statement was made, it was correct. Just out dated now.

depends... it's a rare loot... so prolly on par with janta hide...
maybe you'll get lucky and loot it on the first try.
