I would love for the drop rates on these components to be improved.
And I don't really see a reason for the components to have been rare in the first place. But if something that was soloable becomes unsoloable...I would hope that this would result in a dramatic improvement in the drop rate of any lootable components dropped by that mob. It's only fair.
I would love for a lot of people per server to have high-end RIS armor.

Just one comment.
If they do one day want to increase the drop rate it is far better to do it this way than improving the odds a GDK will drop 1.
At least this way playesr can hunt GDK in groups and there is a chance each group member will be rewarded....
As for getting a suit in a week end, well it all depends on your luck.
I got 10 scales of 2 different GDKs satursday in 2 hours.
Before that I had not gotten any of over 50.
And I know players that have killed over 100 GDK since the patch and still not gotten a scale....

Weekend project? Hmmm, you would have still loot 9+ GDK scales, using the drop rates of any of the other components is not relevant. 200 you say without getting a single scale still equals zero scales no matter how many they drop.

He said RIS could be a weekend project. I've had scales drop within four kills of my last one. I've had two scales drop from the same spawn. Plenty of people have reported that a scale dropped on the first GDK they ever killed. Folks have reported up to 10 scales dropping on one GDK now.
Yes, RIS could be a weekend project now.

According to my CSR ticket, these are now intended to have serials. Which probably means this is not a bug, and will not be fixed. To quote the CSR "...the ones you have are just fine! Good luck!"

I join with the majority who wish to keep the current drop rate.
If jedi get improvements to their drop rates (and you know that's how ours came about, right?...devs continually brown nosing the ex-hologrinder jedi), then we should get an improvement to ours. Or do you disagree?
I think it would be amazing to make this kind of armor for friends. Entire armor types shouldn't remain so excessively rare in my opinion.
Improvement to jedi drop rates...working as intended. Improvement to other people's...a bug that must be squashed? Dev logic.
