My crafter is 100% non-combat. My alt is 100% combat. I have a wonderful guild so my crafter can possibly do without my combat alt, its just that too much of one thing gets boring to me.

well, before the Combat Upgrade came into full swing, i used to be a weaponsmith on the lowca server, primarily making weapons just for friends/guildies etc. (swapped it for shipwright, dont ask why)

however, ive spoken to one or two weaponsmiths that have perserveered through the CU, and they said Weaponsmith is still a really good and viable profession,

what i need to know is, is weaponsmith really still a good profession, and what exactly has changed, e.g experimentation assemply, how easy /difficult it is to cap damage / SAC. do resources still need to be really good, or can you use general hq ones

i know there are many threads that probably give me all the answers i need, but most of them seem to have conflicting advice.

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Take a look at the post-cu crafting guide stickied at the top . A few major changes since I wrote that are the new slicing system and these new BH loots that just came out.
