100% for making this craftable by all, and I am sure most wookies agree

I think a better idea than making this wookie only craftable, is have a wookie quest for the armor. However, that idea sucks because it cant be a one time quest because armor wears out, and repeating it every time would be lame.

it would be nice to see the armor craftable by everyone and have a wookie quest. The quest could be for a schematic for a schematic for a extra layer in the segment or something (like the new RIS schematic lets RIS have 3 layers instead of 2), or for a different piece of armor like gloves.

For the love of the emporer please do NOT make this armor craftable only by wookie armorsmiths. I am a wookie, have been since launch day, I also have a MAS alt who is not wookie. The best 2 reasons I can give for not being wookie only is,

1. Wookies were not intended to be crafters and therefor everything we make sucks. I am a MCH TKM, not an armorsmith and don't intend on ever being one and if I were my armor would be lame anyways. My human counterpart on the other hand could make far superior armor than my wookie could dream of.

2. It is hard enough to find specific thingsas it is, ask any wookie where they buy their bowcasters and you will understand why.Making this wookie AS only will just make another item too difficult to find, maybe not in the short run, but 6 months from now it will be like bowcasters, everyone made them at launch and now realized that there are superior crafted items to the bowcaster so they are in short supply.

I cringe at the thought of this new armor being wookie crafted only, If that infact does happen we will be better off with marauder armor, it will be superior and that makes this wookie sad

Add my vote to the "craftable by any armorsmith" tally, for reasons stated clearly by many already in this thread.

To be honest, Ido not understand why this is even an issue, nor do I understand why wookiees should expect a bonus for crafting it. Is wookiee clothing craftable only by wookiee tailors? Or Twi'lek headwear only by twi'leks? Do wookiee or twi'lek tailors get bonuses when them tailor these race-specific items? No. So why should wookiee armorsmiths expect such treatment.

By the way, if the very vocal minority advocating that this be craftable only by wookiees is successful, does anyone on Tempest want to buy some Endor and other deciduous woodor some Yavin leathery hides?

The only way I would support the concept of wookiee armor being craftable only by wookiees would be if the dropped it out of the armorsmith tree and into artisan, just as the bowcaster schematic is part of a wookiee's novice artisan schematics. In the same way, too, there could be components craftable by armorsmiths that would need to be used in it (such as using a segment from a particular armor type that is not wookiee only or require layers or something) just as the bowcaster requires a weaponsmith crafted item.

My partner is a wookiee and a master artisan/architect. He tried for a long time to get the weaponsmith crafted part to make his own bowcaster and has -still- not been successful (no reliable weaponsmith can be found who will supply only the part) after 3 months.

I am an armorsmith and I would be willing to give up this schematic since I am human IF it was in the artisan line for wookiees only.

As a wookie AS I have been on both sides of the fence concerning who can craft the armor. Currently I believe all AS should be able to craft the Wookiee Armor ( keep in mind that more armor types are on the way as well ). I am very interested in having the armor as a quest type obtainable item. Us Wookiees are supposedly oppressed by the Empire , why not have some Bothan smuggle in the schematics of our homeworld armors for us. Please do not make it so that they are limited use schematics!!! Im also for race specific armors as I am tired of seeing Rodians,Mon Cal,Twilek all looking the same in comp.

After looking at the resources neccesary, I dont think that current MAS will be interested in churning these out, they seem as hide intensive as Padded Armors and I've seen very few people using padded. Its either comp or whatever you can afford that distinguishes serious players fromn00b's ( although the n00b market for armor is a nice little niche that Ilurk around in. )

Im currently stockpiling up on the resources and am anticipating this as well as the future armors.

How about only Wookiee armorsmiths can craft the Advanced segments?

This would negate the problem of immediate demand for it when it goes live (some armor is better than no armor), and still provide more incentive to wookiee's to try Armorsmithing.

As a wookiee, I am emphatically against only wookiees being able to craft wookiee armor. Leave it as it is, please please please.
