I will check into the spelling on the wookie armor. As far as needing more resources to make the schematics.....
you can't assume there is an exact number you'll need. If I want 10 suits of Ubese, that will take 170 segments/layers....but I know I need more than 170 layers (to experiment on the segments several times)....and even then I will need more than 170 segments to experiment for my armor pieces. Just round up a bit. Maybe 25 extra segments for experimenting (170+25=195) and then 6 layers for segment experimenting (195+6=201). So if I really want 10 suits, yes you'llneed more than 170 layers.....unless you craft it by hand and have no critical failures.

So what I'm saying is....the tool will tell you what you need to put in the factories to get that amount, but any extras for experimenting and making schematics will be dependent on the person using it. It shouldn't be included in any calculations because of that. Maybe a small FAQ should be attached to the end ay? Thanks for the input.

First for MrEdAs....I checked all the resource gates and don't see intrusive ore SR listed at 593 anywhere. Anyone else see an error here?

For the other guys questions:

  1. include a worksheet to list the character's inventory (resources available to craft with). This is a good idea. I have added some sheets to the original v2.1 to take into account my personal stash of resources. I will get Nathan a copy ASAP.
  2. include a worksheet to list schematics with their experimental attribute information. It can be done, but it's gonna take A LOT of work to go through each schematic.
  3. add functionality to calculatewhat kind of actual stats on the armor(resis, special, condition, HAM ...) you can expect giventhe use of certain resources. Sorry, this is virtually impossible because the devs won't release the exact formula when it comes to experimentation.
  4. finally, per schematic, add fuctionality to choose from your inventory (#1) the best resourcesforyour goal (high resis, low HAM...) I agree with Nathan here, the type of programming/equation needed toaccomplish this request would be too much. I can't even begin to fathom how tointegrate this, let alone get it to actually work.
  5. Make the whole thing a web application, and send us the URLGood idea, I personally don't mind if someone were to host this on their website. If you want to do it, please contact Nathan for final approval. Since this was his brain-child.

Many thanks to everyone who provided feedback. I appreciate you guys taking this tool and trying to make it better. I believe I can speak for the both of us when I say, this tool was designed to make Armor crafting a little bit easier. It was not intended to do the crafting for you. Although, I will admit, a tool with the above functionality would be a GREAT benefit for the Armorsmithing community as a whole, but the effort to come up with all of the equations, formulas, etc. would be mind-boggling. If anything, this tool will provide much of the "raw data" that you would need to get something like that started (hint, hint programmers)

There is an Access Database that has some of the requests I mentioned. What the db doesn't have is a good way to calculate the number of suits and factory run information.

I'm trying to create a hybrid of what you've done with that database.

I'm too busy, and progress is very slow.

go check it out if you haven't ....

Excellent job guys! It was cool to see this thing develop and the possibilities it has for continued development. I foresee a programmer using your data to provide a program someday.

Thanks for the hard work!!!

I have made the updates, but I need the resources required for Armor Repair Kits.

I know they can take optional Master Artisan components to make them better. Can anyone list ALL of the ingredients needed to make Armor Repair Kits? I'm at work and can't get them ingame.

Once I have the schematic info for these, the new update will be finished and I can forward the new version to Nathan for hosting and distribution for everyone.

I need your help!
