Thats what it is...hides.
Need lokian leathery and tat wooly hides for the piece itself, and dath leathery for the segments. Thats three kinds of named hides. And the wooly from tat is the worst one, since you have to harvest banthas which give very little hides for the effort, and have to do missions to get them to spawnin quantites. On Lok and dath, pretty much everything gives leathery so its not a bit problem.
If you have an armorsmith friend in your guild, agree to hunt him the hides he needs to make you the armor. And yes, it will take a LONG time to gather 10k of Tat wooly, but you get armor out of it.

Don't forget, 15 hides and 10 wooly hides per padding segment. 18 padding segment per full suit of hunting armor.

most becasuse the hide and bone needed to make it.... compared to composite its just madd and hunting and blackmountin need to be mutch more expensive to make wothwile selling...
Wookiee Hunting armor needs around 1500 units of hide and bone composite its only 210 units
Hided and bones kost is around 125k for a full suit on eclips and for composite around 25-30k
that is whay not many people make wooky armor.... composite armor is quick money

Hey guys Im not a fellow Armorsmith myself but I am a wookiee. and I was woundring why (if their is a reason). isnt their any armorsmiths that make wookiee armor and the ones that do are few and far between. Just woundring Ty for all the information.

Do the two newest Wookie armours require specific named hides/bones?

My 2cr....
- Wood -is easy to get. It's ALWAYS in spawn. Like fiberplast. Just the quality varies. Nothing like Colat..etc. that may not come around.
- Hide - A pain to get, but is ALWAYS in spawn. Only the quality varies. A pain to harvest though.
- Naboo fiberplast - As mentioned. It's ALWAYS in spawn.
- Mythra copper - Like colat, beyrillius...etc. Might become hard to get.
I make it...and enjoy doing it. It's a new armor and more of a challenge than comp (AS's cash cow). These are some things I see that mightmake it no fun to craft....
-Every one of the pieces requiresmore thanone segment. You have to do factory runs just to experiment and find a good combo of resists. This includes making factory layers to go into the factoy segments.VERY time consuming.
- The shear quantity of creature resources involved. Sometimes it can be hard to collect a decent size pile of good hide.
- Padded segments. Tailor experimented, mostly hide, takes more of these than segments to make the armor.
- As someone mentioned. Smiths haven't been used to collecting Flora, so the quality will take a while to get good.
My current Hunting armor stats....65base/80kin/80ener. Spent an hour last might trying to get 66/80/80...had a failure on final assy...looks like another hour tonight...

Tracking down quality wood is the toughest part right now since it was rarely harvested prior to release. High quality dantooine avian and animal bone spawns are also few and far between. Being able to make this armor is easy, being able to make it well is much more difficult than nay other armor I have tried. I find it rewarding, and you will have some very appreciative wooks thanking you for your efforts if you do so.
You can get very nice results if you work at it. I am making 80kin/en 72 base, 30stun/80kin/70base, and 39stun/80kin/67base on Ahazi. It is equal to the best possible composite on the server now.

hey im still only on personal Armor I but i Sell Kashyyykian Armor and ibve pretty much cornered that market On the Eiley Area on Bria. alot of Newbies come to my sotre and about 65% of them are wookies. Plus they have more money then normal noobs!

What's the highest stun rating you can get on Wookiee armor? Does anyone know anything about the new Wookiee armor coming out?

Wookiee armor can use the same layers as comparable non Wookiee armor.
For Hunting armor, which is similar to composite, you can get the same % as composite for stun (37-41% epending on the server)

I make excellent wookiee armor, current run is 80% Kin, 71% base. You can find my shop in Crystal Hollow, Dantooine, STARSIDER. Now isn't that just he kicker, should have asked onBria's trade forums.
