Thread: Wookiee armor
WhenI think about Wookiee armor the thing to pops into my mind is something big, heavy and intimidating. Wookiees have more HAMs and are supposed to be one of the strongest races, so it seemd to follow that they should have heavy, bulky and multi-layered armor. It doesn'tneedto have Uber resistances but it should LOOK heavy and layered.
It was a slow day at work today so I drew a picture of what I thought wookiee armor should look like. Before you view the armor please let me say that I am not a professional artist or anything. This was just some sketching that I did at work. I think it looks a bit intimidating and in my mind this would be something a combat oriented wookiee would wear.
Feel free to comment on the armor but keep the flames to a minimum if you would please. ![]()

Here is a quick colored version using whatever highlighters I could find around the office.

You know what would be really nice? If armorsmiths and tailors could collaborate to create the wookiee armor. Lets face it, a lot of us thought when we read the tailor descriptions of some of the wookiee items we thought it WAS wookiee armor. Of course, that was a bust. Now if they modified the look on some of the pieces a bit, added arm, leg, and head protection, and made half the work by tailors and half by armorsmiths, I think the armor would be perfect.
Of course, for those of you who want to really think about a tailor/armorsmith collaboration, it makes no sense when you get down to it. But I just really like the look of some of our battlepadding, and I think that is the direction they should go with their concepts for the armor.
Frankly, the concept art scares me. I'm banking on JustG being right and the final models looking awsome. But really, I'll wear it even if it looks rediculous. I may only wear it when nobody else is around, but I'll still wear it.

First you wookies complain that you have no armor, Then you complain that it doesn't look good enough for you.
Speaking for myself only...
They could make it a pink Skirt, a purple fake afro for a helmet, and a bright red nose...
and make it so i hafta sing im a little tea cup to buy it, and ya know what... Im all over it.
I dont give an IOTA what it looks like... as long as its effective..
Ive always said..give the robes the stats of armor and call it a day..problem solved..
