I just tried black with hunting armor and got some interesting results. On the chest and legs, black will stick in place of the default green used on the leggings and the chest plate trim. On the arms, the black will stick as the primary color of the armor (select black in the second box of colors). So chests and pants are the reverse of the arms. White stuck when used as an accent color (first color box) on the feathers on the bracer. Black did not stick as an accent color on the chest feathers or as the main color of the feather on the bracer.
So I've ended up with black and brown hunting armor that actually looks pretty good. The lower legs are black with the waist padding the default brown. The chest has black trim on the default brown. Arms are black. I'd leave the feathers alone although white seems to stick as the accent color.
EDIT: I ran some more bracers and the black did NOT stick. However, black as the main bicep color did.

If possible I would like to have listed combinations that do not work too. It will hopefully make it easier to track the bug.
And if anyone on other servers has gotten results that deviate from the observations here, please tell us.
Black composite does not work for me (on Shadowfire).

Isn't what doesn't work sort of a long list? Anything in particular we should test? Everybody could try a few things and see if we get the same results. Would be worth a new thread versus being buried in this one.

/Agree with Pyke. If you really want to get this sorted out, make a new thread in which you can control and edit...all attempts so far have been pretty unorganized.

I wanted to try my luck witha black/red Tantel Suit
All arm parts where how I wanted them, but the chest was white with the red trim.
Next try on the chest I pick on everything just black, result a full black Tantel Chest.
I tought first I made a misteak befor and so I picked the same color again = red trim, black, black
Result = red trim, black, white
Kinda funny, the trim color is affecting the main color and just to be sure I tried it again, I made 2x red trim/black
and 2x just black, both same result.
btw brown on the helmet works fine as well.
I would be happy if this bug is gonna be fixed, most "normal" people out there don't even know it exists.
Customer: "hey, are you color blind that all the composite is white?"

i just recently did some ubese that came out brown and some sort of incidious yellow. was a good deal it wasnt a big run hehe..
