im using a swoop helm, for clothing you have to get socketed clothing or else clothing won't do anything for you, now all i have to do is find some decent stuff to put in my sockets

Yeah, I'm a newb. So what is socketed clothing good for then? Means it goes over armor? Means you can add armor into it? (Sorry I'm not exactly the brightest crayon in the box yet when it comesto SWG )

heh im a newb too i just have the good luck of having very knoledgeble friends, what sockets in clothing do is allow you to use those skill tape things, so say you had a skill tape +3 ranged defense and you put it in your helmet, you now have +3 ranged defense YAY, there is a max of 4 sockets for each peace of clothing so dont waste the spots

Ahh, ok. I pictured the sockets sorta acting like an armor plated vest type thing. You can remove the extra 40 lbs. of metal and have a reinforced cloth type thing, or ya can leave it in and deflect bullets.

Jango was a Mandalorian?

Didn't know that...

There were actually four people I know of that wore Mandalorian armor: Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Jodo Kast, and Fenn Shysa.

On another note: you know where there's a huge hole in the EU? The entire Jaster Mareel -- Boba Fett thing. Connection? Who the hell knows. All I know is that Tales of Bounty Hunters makes it seem that they are the same person, but that seems to be an impossibility - some sources say Mareel and Jango were friends, but, once again, just mystery.

If you read the extended universe books and comics the Mandalorian armor is VERY rare.

Boba gets very peeved at a gentlemen named Jodo Kast who also wears the armor. It's super rare and VERY expensive.

Just as it should be in the game. I would hate the Mandalorian armor to get reduced to the state that Rancors are now, with every CH hauling one around on a chain (the one in Jabbas palace was the ONLY one in captivity in the books).

Be patient, use the stuff thats in the game in the meantime, and when and IF it comes it comes. Until then get in good with Jabba and go say HI to Boba, he's sporting the only set in the galaxy currently.

Heh, only two appeared in the movies (excluding Ep. 3 of course). Jango and Boba. What I don't understand is Jango's armor gets passed down to Boba, how does it change colours? Unless Boba paints the armor or something, but I really can't picture a BH as ruthless and skilled as Boba spending time painting.....and if so, what kinda paint did he use?

dont think he would paint it? I wish I could paint my armor. then I would have something to do while constantly waiting for the shuttle in every city I go to.

I think if they release the armor into the game, it should have a certification to it. And put that cert at master BH. then only someone serious about the BH profession even has a chance to wear it. It would also give a very needed bonus to work up to Master BH.

Honestly I hope Mandalorian armor is never added to the game. I think it would be like people being able to wear Darth Vaders suit. It would really ruin the Star Wars feel to the game if I see anyone besides Boba Fett wearing the armor. If they do add it, which they probably will I hope they make it look more new like Jango wears it episode 2. It seems like Boba customized and scratched up his quite a bit.

Heh, I'm on Chilastra, got an Entertainer on Kauri, maybe start over there.

Random - Great idea. Would really make becoming a Master BH worthwhile. If it's about continuity and all, anybody strong enough to carry around the weight of it should be able to wear it, meaning commandos and such. But only BH's have worn it in the movies, so sorta makes sense.

I've read that Boba personally hunts you himself if you wear it, seems a bit far-fetched, but would sorta make sense. I've also heared that it's limited to 12 sets per server. Also kinda makes sense, but that wouldn't be fair really to those that joined the game late because of lower computer specs., different country, etc. etc. so I hope this isn't true for others' sake.

RRRRammstein - I see where you're coming from sorta. Darth Vader's outfit was specially made for him to help breathing etc. because of his physical decline from drawing upon the darkside. Boba and Jango's armor however was standard issue for all Mandalorian Warriors however. Jango's wasn't scratched up because the metal part of the suit was silver to begin with, unlike Boba's. I hope it is added to the game so those RPing Mandalorian decendants (like meself maybe...thinkin bout it) have a chance to wear their "forefather's" customary armor. I do hope however that you can change the colour of it somehow to sorta make a colour scheme for your clan type thing and that they aren't the same colour as Boba's and Jango's - that's where I agree with you. Sure, make every suit have the Mandalore symbol on the shoulder, same general design, jetpack (non-useable of course) and whatever, but make some be able to have a red and silver colour scheme instead of blue and silver like Jango's or somesuch (just an example).

It was said by the Devs that about 5 set per server will be available.
