thanks for a great guide, this really helped me out!
when i run the macro for crafting though, the crafting tool screen doesn't appear, but after a few seconds i get a message saying crafting failed
I have multiple backpacks in my house and inventory that I've named and categorized. I'm still trying to hit on the perfect combination- before I had it grouped by armor type in my inventory (i.e.: elite composite, standard composite, etc) and a few general packs labeled chems, minerals, rare resources, etc. in my house, but I've managed to accumulate so many resources now that that's just not working anymore. They system I'm currently trying to implement involves particular classifications- i.e.: colat, kiirium, polysteel and berylius in one backpack, misc. ferrous in another, ore in a third, etc. Not sure if this will work any better, though.
The virtue of having your resources in labeled packs is that your can quickly find the general pack you want and inside the pack everything is displayed much more clearly. While you still have to hover the cursor over each resource to see exactly what it is, it's a lot easier to do it this way than to have piles of resources just sitting in your house.
As a Novice Armorsmith, this is the most valuable guide I've ever come across. Thank you very much. Excellent.
OK, now for a noob question. How do you make a crate of something. I haven't had a chance to ask anyone ingame yet so I figured I try here.
Crates are made when you make something in a factory... you can not make a crate on it's own.
As for backpack organization, Jaato, I have created backpacks for every type of armour, general materials (fiberplast panels, etc) and another for segments. Inside all the armour backpacks, I'm thinking of making bags likes this (btw, this is a list of all the rare materials needed for Ubese through RIS armour that I made for myself and fellow PA members who wish to pay for their armour in materials):
*Metal*
Titanium aluminum, chromium aluminum
Polysteel Copper, Beyrllius Copper, platinite copper
Axidite Iron, Colat Iron
Neutronium Steel, Cubirian Steel, Duralloy Steel, Kiirium Steel
*Fiberplast*
Nabooian Fiberplast, Corellian Fiberplast, Rori fiberplast, talusian fiberplast
*Hide*
Lokian Leathery Hide,
Yavinian Wooly Hide, rori wooly hide
*Other*
Chanlon Intrusive ore, oridium intrusive ore
Laboi mineral crystal crystalline gemstone, vedusii crystal amorphous gemstone
Where the bags would be named "Metal" or "Hide" etc. Of coarse, I've only been a Master AS (which I grinded to with armourweave segments, requiring only "metal") so I don't have many different kinds of materials yet.
Which brings me to my question: Since I am now a Master AS, my PA is very anxious to buy from me. My problem and question is how much do I charge? For example, I made a suit of 44% Kinetic, 19% everything elseUbese (I forgot to use adv. segments)... How much would that be worth? I haven't even made a suit of composite yet, though 4 people want one... how much for a suit of "average" advanced composite? what about high end? I know I used relative terms, but if you give examples (since I can't, not having made a suit yet) then I can make at least make an educated guess.
I looted 5 of these off of some Jantas today. Now i have heard of janta blood for doc's to use in enhancers.
Can anyone tell me what these hides are good for. They say armor component on and each have a base effectiveness of 3% with 5 of them making that 15%. For the description it says " A piece of janta hide that could be used to enhance and armor segment " .
