In the begining when every one hated the game? Most old timers loved the game in the begining when we where all cdef armed and running in to a tusken raider ment a brutal fight that you might actually lose!
Remeber when a swooper mission was a challenge? Remeber when getting armor was a BIG deal since few folks could make it? The begining of the game (like most games) was the best time! I had more fun in moth one then I had the whole rest of my time in SWG

I have mixed feelings about all of this proposed "nerfing" that is in store for the game, but as long as everything is nerfed across the board, everything that is "high-quality" will remain "high-quality". The economy will undoubtedlydeflate though because if buffs, weapons, armor, and food become less effective, people won't be able to get as much money doing hard missions. For those of you that don't realize, missionsare whereALL the money in the game comes from. Sure it eventually ends up in the pockets of the skilled crafters orup for auction onebay, butI estimate about 99% of the economy's "authorized" credits originate frommission payouts, while another 1% comes from looted cash. Because money will be harder to earn on the bottom of the economic chain, prices for everything will need to drop or they simply won't be affordable.
I have an idea that is probably a lot easier: instead of nerfing the products, NERF THE RESOURCES!!! The resource spawns should be controllable and if so could simply be tailored to prevent the creation of the extremely high quality products that this nerf hopes to snuff out.
Lastly, people need toquit saying such hurtful things about the developers. They are doing everything they can to make this game fun for everyone, butthey cannot possibly fix all the problems at once. Furthermore, thepopulation of players has been in disagreement amongstitself about almost every issue that has come along, but the fact remains thatthis game is the fastest growing MMORPGthat I know of.and there is a reason forthat.I love this game and many otherpeople do also, otherwise we wouldn't be taking thetime to post these lengthyparagraphs. Have some faith in thefolks that made thisgame what it is.

Orowaw wrote:I wont quit making armor. Will I rethink my strategy a little yes. I may craft 50 suits and hide them in people houses so I can have some to sell as OMG armor after the nerf. Will they just effect schematics....I hope...If I log on one day and the comp I am wearing is crap. I will be annoyed. But as someone previously stated you must adapt, overcome and in my words capitalize on new opportunities. I could not make adv key armor because of the unrealistic expectation of having to go back and forth between endor and Yav to get the components but wookies still need armor so I do it and I dont slaughter them on the cost fort the armor since it is close in comparison to the stats on Ubese anyway.Besides as a TKM with a buff I really never take that much damage anyway and I destroy whatever gets in front of me to include the random blacksun guys I find on Yav on occasion. Armor is great and I am glad I never run out of it. But there are a lot of other factors in combat in this game that allow for individuals to solo missions I really dont see a need for an armor nerf but if they do it so be it. Would anyone else rather just see a new uber armor introduced into the game (aside from BH armor/Mando) just to see something besides the army of comp users at the starport? My two cents.OrowawMaster AS, TKMWoDTempest
Sorry not an amorsmith but wanted to know what the feel about the "rebalance" here is so I read this post. Always good to know what the feeling is in other professions.
Anyway I wanted to mention though that according to what I was told at fanfest (as was everyone else at that presentation) all items (weapons, armor etc) will be retroactively changed. They do not want the balance to go in and people to have stockpiles of uber gear for months like has happened previously (FWG5, Pre-patch probots).
What they did say was that armor that is at the top of the grade now will be at the top of the grade post patch (new and existing). So if 90% is what it is now then you will get 70% or some such. No numbers were given. The 60% number was never mentioned, I do not believe the developers have ever mentioned numbers at all regarding the re-balance as this is all to be determined.
We will know more when it goes to test.
The the real complaining can start.

The only thing that needs to be balanced in the combat revamp is Mind damage
Heres a clue to the developers that haveno clue people dont die in pvp because they run out of health or there template sucks they die because they get one shotted by combat medic's two or shotted by riflemen
Ufix these two things ur combat balance is done
I would much rather them Spend time balanceing each perfessions attacks vulnerabilities and defences and fixing broken specials and adding new types of attacks
lets look at the hypothetical shall we u nerf armor u then need to nerf every single type of creatures damage output and each proffesions damage output then weapons and specials
Then since we have a lovely outcast bunch of idiot developers that seem to make choices with a chance cube and seem to love to nerf rather than to fix they comepletely break several key aspects of the game
Before we know it people are getting one shotted by regular attacks hunting is comepletely ruined and the only other aspect of the game left remotely enjoyable is destroyed because said developers in the process of breaking the combat system broke the crafting system as well
Then everyone is running around in playing jedi because they are the only thing left remotely playable
Id rather them see them add instead of take away for once its time they polished instead of nerfed
