Thread: So Long... and thanks for all the fish

Yes, I am a rifleman and I have been watching the AS forum and correspondent hoping they would listen to him. Now it looks like he has been totally silenced!
I have a very special friend that is an armorsmith. And she is so sad about these changes, she actually feels she is gonna quit, she feels like SOE is screwing her and all other veteran players over. She has been AS since day 1!
I share all her concerns and this is just as important to me keeping my accounts too. I swear, if they nerf her so bad she quits, I will quit too. I cannot play without my friends, and I won't. This was a great game SOE, good job ruining it for us.
Tiggs looks like you and TH aren't doing your jobs in this reguard apparently when an entire prof is being make usless and and whatever is left is being nerfed, looks like AS is turning into the new commandos, looks like it will be 2 years before they fix AS by breaking another prof, but I doubt SWG will last 2 more years

So... exactly what happened?
I tried to raise issues, and asked people to send the issue to the developers and ask them for a response. I guess they don't like it when I tell everyone that our voice needs to be heard.
The duty ofa correspondentis tobring to the Community team (TH and I) the issues their profession have.
This seems like the proverbial straw on the camels now broken back. With this news, a day one(yes, actual day _one_ vet) will be closing his three accounts. See y'all and good luck. "yer gonna need it."

Well umm... as you all can see, I'm not blue anymore.
Not gonna make this long or anything, but hope someone else can step up and take my spot, and good luck to whoever it is, you're gonna need it. Armorsmithing in the TC is currently at an unacceptable spot, and don't try to kid yourself other wise. Whoever takes over this crazy place, and I'm sure someone will, needs to keep up the good fight for us.
I love this profession, and I loved the almost seven months that I've been the correspondant here for you guys. It was nice being here while I was.
Well uh... thanks for putting up with me, over looking my many typing and grammer mistakes, and all the great feedback you guys gave me. Take care everyone, I'll be around somewhere.
Sorry to see you go...You have great passion and it's an asset to your community (and recognized even by those outside)...![]()

You seemed like a guy that actually cared, but being honest your "they aren't listening so we'll mail spam them with the same message" idea was very childish. I'm sure you had the best intentions, but (assuming this is the first time) its a shame they don't give you a second chance.
As long as your message doesnt contain any profane content. There is nothing in the forum ToU that says you cant voice your opinion to the devs. Thats all he tried to do.
This will probably be unpopular, but opinions usually are. And anyone is free to scroll it away.
Yes, it is a shame that this happened. But, as a correspondent, the responsibility was to collect all the issues and present them to TH and Tiggs, so they can give the Devs one document that had ALL the armorsmiths issues, instead of wasting time trolling through monds of posts, and possibly missing some very real issues. Not, "rally the troops" to petition and incite a protest. That was unneeded, and not the job given. In fact the "corespondent" position was created to avoid this issue particularly. I think that was the issue here.
Now, the point of being fired, I couldnt make a judgement on. I wasn't there when those three talked after the fact. And maybe the punishment was harsh. No one was there, but those involved, and they aint talking (which is the adult thing to do.)
There ya go. Just remember: it's just a game, not you life. You pay to play in their backyard. You're free to accept it, or dont and go on to things you can control.
Good luck all, gonna be a bumpy ride ahead, depending how people are. Stay strong. Stay focused... and stay civilized!

All of my faith over the nearly last two years is rapidly dwindling, I have 10 accounts that Im going to sacrifice to this growing bastion of ignorance that has become SOE customer service.
Good idea to shoot the messanger SOE! How many more people are you going to alienate that were your biggest supporters...
