Exactly, that's the way to go. I sent Tiggs a pm because of this yesterday, everybody who is concerned because of this bug should do the same.

I added this to the bug thread. I also bugged it in game.

I really though we as a profession were in relatively good shape compared to folks like the poor DEs. But this 1/1 condition thing is pretty bad.

I too have heard about this 'feature' for some time, but it seems to be little known in the community at this point but that could change. I agree this issue has to be resolved or else I'm going to have to start charging 250k per armor repair kit.


Yep at least we don't have it as bad as the Droid Engineers...poor saps!

question: Are you looking at the combat log for the damage being done, or the damage being absorbed? THe displayed calculations are totally borked. Only thing you can go off of is the health bar, and maybe the numbers over your head.


Any tests that only look at % absorbtion in the combat log will most likely give you false responses. Has anyone tried this and kept track of their health bar rather than their combat log (armor absorbed xxx) stat?

i thought of that to, and was hoping that was the problem. but i checked the health bar to. i'm stilling running around with broken armor, doing BH missions, and its still aborbing full amount of damage.



the cobat log is calculating properly, cause it is also calculating the a loss of protection when armor is less then 50%

Just to let u all know ive been a master BH for a couple of months now and yes if u repair ur armor and it fails u will end up with 1/1 condition armor and it wont ever decay and will fully protect. i have had the same reb assault armor since i mastered the profession with a couple of pieces mainly chest, leggings and helmet at 1/1 conditon. It doesnt decay and it does fully protect. hate to say it but it is a problem in the game that alot of people are starting to realize. heres where it differs if the armor decays normally to a low conditon then yes the protection becomes less and the armor is inefficient. if u screw up and let it get to 0 then thats it its done. problem lies when u try to repair the armor and it goes to 1/1 then it works as if new and doesnt decay. Basicly crappy armor repair tools act as adk's!


hope this gets fixed my alt is a as and im not selling very much armor

Now AS's are finally getting hte same treatment as Tailors have. There is no reason to have more then a couple tailors around because the only time ppl get new stuff is when they don't like the clothing they have on anymore. That and with all the CA's that are dropping now, even if your clothing is at 0 you still get the benefits. If they fixed it so that when you clothing hit 0 you couldn't wear it, and the stats no longer applied, you'd see a lot of CA's drop in value, and more Tailor shops poping up.

Becuase they belive they need armor.The only time Armor truely makes a difference is when you are 1 on 1 fighting a mob that is about your level, or a hords os lower level mobs. People has always used armor and belive they still do. You can tell them otherwise but you might as well tell them the world is round.

As been heard before in this thread, don't believe everything you read. People still need aromor no matter what type of group your in. I have been in groups that take out single higher level mobs in less time than it takes the mob to realize it's being attacked, yet when that same mob baf's your stuck with trying to protect everyone in the group from dying as the amount of damage that you would get from that single mob goes up either double or as much as five or six times with all the baffed mobs (not to mention the aggro the docs get for healing the groups)


so saying tha armor is needed is like saying the RL world is flat.

this actually goes for all items that are crafted in the game, my +25 taming pants are 1/1 cause i failed and they still show mods, and yes, i got the same results in testing armor at 1/1
